La Bella Ferrara Cafe contains a fantasy island of Italian pastries and baked treats from different cannoli to cookies to cakes to breads and more. medium-sized cafe --neat and well-maintained but more old school and worn-in showing that its OG status in Little Italy as it is rooted in that neighb and not some modern transplant. there is no seating inside just displays of Italian dessert-y eats as well as small gelato bar. there are some seats out front, but it is primarily grab-n-go. come for cookies and cannoli, but stay for the Sfogliatella aka "lobster tail"--a flaky layered pastry filled with custard-like whipped cream. Sfogliatella is a nice balance of sweetness, crunch, and makes for a nice bite with coffee. so good. the cannoli is pretty good -- like the vanilla cannoli in the chocolate shell. the cannoli are large, sweet, and calorically satisfying. there's a lot of dessert variety here to enjoy with a coffee as one walks around downtown. Vanilla cannoli chocolate shell. $5 + tax + tip & the mini Sfogliatella aka "lobster tail", $4 + tip the staff are really nice. helpful and attentive.

What bad can you say about an Italian bakery?! Me...nothing. The variety not just in cannolis was impressive, but in cakes, cookies, etc. No super fancy pastry. Looks like a grandma made it all and I love it like that. We had a full size tiramisu cannoli, a mini Chocolate Mousse cannoli, a lobster tail and of course the classic black and white cookie(Everything was $12.25-cash tip). Everything we ate was amazing! Fresh, flavored beautifully and flaky perfection. I'm not a fan of cannolis usually, but I loved theirs! My fav was the chocolate moose one. We inhaled the tiramisu one, so no picture.🤷🏻‍♀️🐽 Staff was very prompt and helpful. They do take cards, but has a $10.00 minimum. Which, was easy to meet. Prices were fair for the amount of work put into each piece of heaven. They also serve gelato and shaved ice. ATM available. Place is tiny, so no place to sit. Walk and eat, which was fine by us.

Out of towner review: Great selection of Italian pastries, just some hits and some misses from today’s visit: Here’s what we ordered: - Cannolis (all chocolate covered shells) Original: delicious, not too sweet which is what you want with the ricotta Pistachio: nice pistachio flavor but with an unexpected after taste that made us question of real or artificial Chocolate: very delicious but sweet, especially with the chocolate chips on the end. Still, our favorite of the three we tried. - Lemon Glazed cookie: a little disappointing, seemed to be dry, maybe not a popular item. - Rum cake: quite tasty but very sweet as well, this was moist which it should be. We also ordered a cappuccino and americano. Nice touch to our visit. Overall, a nice time at La Bella Ferrara, though we’ll probably try a new selection of treats next time. Enjoy!

Having now visited this bakery twice, I felt compelled to share my consistently delightful experiences. My first visit was unplanned; needing St. Joseph's pastries on short notice near my workplace. What I came back to the office with were quality pastries – without hyperbole, the absolute best I have ever tasted, setting a new standard for me. For Easter, I decided to purchase their grain pie, an anticipation heightened by my previous positive experience with their St. Joseph's pastries. I am pleased to report that it not only met but exceeded my expectations. As someone with a weirdly strong appreciation for a good grain pie (and who already has a go to bakery in Brooklyn), I took a chance switching it up and picking up this year’s Easter dessert elsewhere. I was genuinely impressed. The texture was so creamy, and the sweetness was expertly balanced, complemented by a generous distribution of flavorful candied fruit. It surpassed my long-standing favorite. My family echoed my sentiments, unanimously declaring it the best grain pie we’ve had ever had. La Bella Ferrara is two for two at this point. Given the consistent excellence of their offerings, from the unforgettable St. Joseph's pastries to the outstanding grain pie, this bakery has undoubtedly and quickly earned my loyalty. I fully intend to return for all my upcoming holiday treats, and I'm sure a few personal indulgences will find their way back home with me as well. This has become my new go-to bakery.

FYI staff is also amazing, so friendly and...

I've never seen staff so rude and unprofessional in my whole life only because I disagreed on the $10.00 policy when paying by credit card. While I can't dispute the policy in itself, I'm certainly disputing the rudeness and lack of professional skills in both the owner, a woman with glasses, and the other two women, an Hispanic woman to be correct. I come from a place, London, where a customer is highly regarded. It's such a shame I had to go through this experience in a great and beautiful city such as New York City. Despite having told the Hispanic woman not to take it personal because I disagreed on the $10.00 policy, the woman got very aggressive and rude and she even said goodbye to me by threateningly staring at me as she still wanted me to fight and argue with her. I never went to a shop and saw staff so arrogant and rude. The owner even admitted she doesn't want to take payments by card because she doesn't want to pay the New York tax. Teaspoons were also non-existent and only straws were given to replace them. Even though pastry may not be that bad, I will never set my foot in that bakery again and give a cent ever again. I would advise people to be careful not to go against those women because they're very aggressive and rude....

La Belle Ferrera is an Italian bakery that is located on Mulberry Street in Little Italy, NYC.

La Belle Ferrera is an old neighborhood type of bakery, and they happen to be my favorite bakery in NYC.

The Rainbow Cookies are so moist and delicious with flavor that i really really enjoy them everytime i get them.

The 2nd item that is out of this world is their Lobster Roll, which is a Wiped Cream filled Cream Puff. The pastry shell is always crisp but soft to the bite, and the whipped cream is so fresh it is like eating whip cream you just made.

The staff is wonderful with their service, and they help advise you as to what amount of pastry you would need or want. They always have nice pleasant things for conversations while they are tending to your needs, and they always have a smile for me.

They are professionals who keep in mind what the NYC Health Codes are with regards to cleanliness. They are always with glovee on when they are handling your pastries. They shop is neat, clean, tidy and orderly all the time.

Looking for some Italian pastries for your sweet tooth? Go to La Belle Ferrera in Little Italy, NYC, you'll have a good...
