Going to be transparent and say that I haven't actually tried their baked goods - will update this review when I do so. I came with a friend who works as a teacher on the UES and she says that her booji students always bring in cupcakes from this place when it's someone's birthday, so I was expecting extravagance, pretentiousness, and skyrocket prices. I was pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong! The inside looks like a cute real-life version of a Disney fairy-tale. Though the shop is quite small (with seating for about 8), they churn out beautiful edibles at a quick rate, and their decor and style is well-noted. If I had been in the mood for something sweet, I definitely would have gone for something here though. The prices weren't as exorbitant as I would have expected - $4 for a cupcake, and $15 for a small cake. These are reasonable considering the location and when price-matched against the over-rated, and overly dry Georgetown Cupcakes (Crumbs will always have a special place in my heart though :/).

Read moreVery disappointed with this place, especially because I was excited to get Ivorian food in New York coming from California.
Here is everything I had a problem with:
We were given a menu, only to be told later that basically nothing is available except for 3 dishes.
I asked for an alcoholic drink that was on the menu, and they told me they don't sell any alcohol yet. I also asked for a soda featured on the menu and they told me they don't have it.
The price of the dish I ordered suddenly became $5 more expensive when I was ready to check out. I asked where that extra charge was coming from and I was told it's because of inflation and stuff, but they haven't changed it on the menu yet.
Once again, the menu shows you can pay with a card but then they told me they don't take cards and I have to pay cash which I didn't have.
The food was okay, definitely not worth the price !
Why would you even give me a menu where 90% of the item is unavailable and the prices are all wrong ? And of course they didn't care to apologize...
Read moreSo I ordered 2 meals and 4 water to go and the bill came $68. I feel that I was over charged and does not know why there is a service charge of $10.40 when I ordered to go. On top of that, while waiting for the food, a bag rat ran inside the restaurant, wandered around then ran back out. I think the rat came from the bunch of garbage placed right in-front of the restaurant. The guy cleaning the windows and the table tops saw the rat, looked at my sister and me, and smiled. The guy was sweating and smelled terribly bad that the whole restaurant started smelling of him. This used to be one of my favorite restaurant for achieke and lamb db, but every now and then when I go there, something reminds me to stop eating at unhygienic restaurants. Over priced...
