Lano's — Restaurant in New York

My co-workers have raved about Lano’s, and I went to try it after hearing so much about it.

On the inside, it is quite small, they do have a stand-up area for dine-in, but it is mostly take-out. Everywhere was clean, however.

The food was set out already and all looked fresh. I was greeted immediately by the woman at the front and she was extremely helpful.

I ended up getting rotisserie chicken, yellow rice and beans, and steamed veggies. She packed it up nicely and gave me great portions of everything.

Onto the food, I felt like everything was pretty decent. The flavors weren’t popping out to me like I expected. The chicken was extremely fresh and the rice wasn’t mushy. The rice was my favorite portion of the meal.

The total for this was $12.40, which was amazing!

In all if you are looking for a cheap meal to make sure you are full, in addition to good service, this is your place. I feel like I would try Lano’s again just due to how often my co workers spoke highly of it.

Food might be amazing. So might the customer service. But please watch out for the young lady at the counter. As she hands you, your change folded.. she's giving you back counterfeit money. And when you approach them about it, they act dumb founded. Doesn't offer an apology, refuses to run their cameras back or anything. To some people it's not a big deal. But after giving someone real cash, what can you do with counterfeit money? And to give someone they change folded means mamacita knows exactly what...
