I ordered from Las Margaritas via Grub Hub and received a call about 40 minutes after I ordered. The Grub Hub rep stated that they had to cancel my order due to the restaurant being closed at 6 pm. I called the restaurant and a man picked up at first and hung up the phone. I attempted to call a few times and it seemed as I was being sent to voice mail. I attempted one last time and a lady picked up and said that they are open until 12 am everyday and that they were having problems with the printer/fax, it wasn't printing orders, however that the problem was fixed and that I can call Grub Hub again to have them resubmit my order. I called Grub Hub and they attempted to reach Las Margaritas, to no avail. Since their call was not being answered, of course they could not confirm and resubmit order. At this point I am frustrated and called the restaurant once again. The same lady answered and said that she never said that the machine was working, however now they can take orders..(wth..that did not even make any sense..) She then gives the phone back to the man that initially hung up on me. I was explaining to him that Grub Hub will not place my order until they are able to reach the restaurant via phone and asked him to stay on so I can do a 3 way so we can resolve this issue asap. I had already merged the call and the man was very inpatient and rude and said that he did not have to speak to me and that he will call them on his own. Mind you, he did not even have my information, so what was he going to tell Grub Hub? (basically lied just to get off the phone) Grub Hub had already answered on the 3 way at this point and was about to rectify the issue, however the man was not being cooperative and was very nasty. At this point, I just had it with this restaurant's lack of professionalism and informed Grub Hub to just continue with cancellation and refund my money... HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! I will never order from here... I gave it a 1 star in order to be able to post this review (it did not let me post without a star), however they don't even deserve the 1 star...
Read moreA Disappointing Dining Experience at Las Margaritas :(
My wife and I were looking forward to an enjoyable lunch at Las Margaritas Restaurant on 72nd and 3rd Ave., hoping for a pleasant dining experience filled with good food, great service, and an ambiance that complemented the restaurant’s Mexican theme. While the service provided by Melissa was truly commendable—attentive, friendly, and efficient—the overall experience was marred by an unexpected and unpleasant element: the music.
Dining out is supposed to be an opportunity to relax and savor a meal, yet the choice of music played in the restaurant had the exact opposite effect. Instead of traditional Mexican melodies that would enhance the authenticity of the experience, we were subjected to blaring reggaeton featuring explicit lyrics, aggressive rhythms, and an overwhelming volume that made it nearly impossible to enjoy our meal in peace. Bad Bunny and perreo may have their place elsewhere, but certainly not in a Mexican restaurant where guests expect cultural consistency.
As a result, what should have been a pleasant afternoon lunch turned into an uncomfortable ordeal. The incessant thumping and crude lyrics didn’t just ruin the atmosphere—it gave us both a headache and even seemed to affect our digestion. A restaurant’s ambiance is just as important as the food it serves, and Las Margaritas failed to maintain an environment suited for a respectable dining experience...imagine if kids were present...this is certainly not a family restaurant!
We value authenticity, respectful presentation, and an atmosphere that complements the cuisine being served. Sadly, this visit did not meet those expectations. Would we ever return? Certainly not. A restaurant that disregards the harmony between its theme and ambiance does not deserve a second chance from...
Read moreIve been to this place about four times, i live very close so whenever I can't decide what to eat i would typically stop by and grab something, the food is okay at best, there is a woman who works there and her attitude is terrible which is why Ill never return, in order to run a good business the people that are hired have to have good customer service, looking mad and angry every time someone walks in doesn't make customers feel welcomed, I wish i knew her name so i could adress her directly, But hopefully this jogs her memory, I went inside in the hopes of ordering something to drink and a quick bite I did not have my phone however i did have my debit card to pay, I asked for the time she told me it was 10:30 pm . I later found out after going to a different store it was 9. I understand wanting to pack up and clean up however I wasnt there to chat it up i was going to grab my drink and dip out since it was late. My thing is why lie about the time? But again lesson learned never stepping foot in this establishment again. When someone walks in for a service they are spending money, not looking to be friends.another incident that happened was I went in there once and asked to order a drink and that same woman asked me for id, im 24. She spent three minutes looking at my id and kept repeating "1999" she was trying to figure out my age someone else had to step in like yea shes of age. trying to figure out the math and my age. Thats a damn shame, working in a restaurant and not being able to quickly do math to figure out that someone is old enough, my advice you cant have a nasty attitude and cant...
