3rd Avenue Barber Shop — Local services in New York

I absolutely love this place. I have been here about a dozen times now, and every visit is amazing. I truly believe this place is becoming a pillar of our community in the neighborhood. Manny and Igor are welcoming, patient, caring and are always fun and interesting to conversate with while I get my haircut.

Special thanks to Igor who I visit all the time. He makes sure I am always looking good and actually cuts my hair the way I WANT and not the way other barbers think is "good". Customer input is super important in my opinion and I am glad Igor follows the directions I give. Whenever I need a haircut, a beard trim, a shave, etc. I know exactly who And where to go to.

Not only are the services top notch, the facility itself is clean and bright. Comfortable chairs, very short wait times, and all haircuts are done in a timely manner. I always walk in here looking like a caveman and walk out looking like Brad Pitt.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to get the cut they want in a friendly and welcoming...

STAY AWAY!! Very unprofessional. I rarely give bad reviews because I'm not that critical but this place is horrible. I called ahead to see how long of a wait. He said theres no wait, come right away. So I got there, and he said he'd see me in a minute. I waited 37 minutes!!! And then left. On my way out he had the audacity to say,"what's your problem, u had to wait 10 minutes"... My problem is that it was 37 minutes and the fact that he lied about the wait time. It's plain rude. Normally I wouldn't mind, but I had somewhere to be and its just deceitful to lie about the wait time in the first place. Not to mention they're not even friendly while I...

The only person that is allowed to touch my hair is Irina. She gives the best haircut in Bay Ridge. Her attention to detail, quality of work, and friendly attitude truly makes it a great experience every time. I walkout always feeling confident all thanks to her. I would recommend anyone needing a haircut to see her and Albert. Even if Irina is not available, Albert will fill in and consult with her regarding how to cut my hair (which Albert is top notch too).
