My wife and I wanted to experience new culture and food instead of our go to typical Italian and Polish food. We ordered the grape leaves , monkfish #35 & a mixed grill #50. Everything was perfect. They give you complimentary soup and salad and the best thing about these were there almost no salt in both. Everything was served as it was meant to be eaten and tasted no drowned in salt. You can the salt as needed but I stopped my intake of salt do this was refreshing. The salad’s flavoring was only the herbs & juices of the salad mixture + lime to enhance the flavors.

The ambiance of the restaurant will make you feel like you landed in Yemen. Many of the customers are Yemen’s and it very cool to see their culture and interactions. The owner spent time with us and we shared stories. My wife told him the read they bake looked amazing but it didn’t come with our dish, he said he’d hook us up snnd he did. On our way out he gave us the huge oven baked bread which was insanely delicious. I was stuffed but ate half of it on my way home. I also stopped by my other buddy from Yemen at the deli on 77 st 3 rd ave. And gave him some of the bread. He’s been serving my wife and I coffee on our way to the train for 35 years- he’s like family!!!

I highly recommend this restaurant. Go sit down and experience a night in Yemen -I did ( without the airplane ride and it was great!

From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance was inviting, but it was the incredible customer service that truly set the tone for the night. An hour before my visit to Al Shaibani, I called the restaurant to order the “Mazmum” dish, which I had heard so many compliments about. The service over the phone was excellent, as the employee responded quickly and professionally, and assured me that they would prepare the dish in the perfect way.

When I arrived at the restaurant, the staff greeted me with warm smiles, which added a welcoming feeling to the atmosphere. I sat in a comfortable place, and I was excited to try the Mazmum that was specially prepared for me.

When they served me the dish, the Mazmum looked attractive and smelled delicious. The meat was wonderfully tender, and the rice was professionally prepared with rich spices that reflected authenticity. The flavors were perfectly balanced, which made me enjoy every bite.

The service was fast and efficient, as the staff made sure that I was satisfied with the food. The waiter was always close by, which made me feel comfortable and cared for.
