Leaf — Restaurant in New York

Okay, I was very very skeptical after I ordered. Let me explain why. So when I ordered I received the confirmation text that my order was being prepared. Literally 9 minutes later I received a text saying it's on the way. WOW!! Talk about timely. So I ordered the tumeric chicken warm bowl with wild rice. I also had a choose your own salad for my husband. I couldn't wait for the Uber review notification I decided to do a Google review instead.

DELICIOUS!! Is all I can say. I'm not sure if I was supper hungry or what, but the items that they selected for this salad is a perfect combination for a tasty salad. The tumeric dressing was superb really good recipe for a dressing. Your probably saying so if the service was timely, and the food was delicious why 4 stars instead of 5 stars? I gave 4 stars because of the portion. The portions aren't large. I know they are using very expensive products. Organic produce, fruit, veggies even the eggs are organic. I know because I eat organic eggs and I know how the yoke looks. I said that to say this if you increase your portions then you will have repeating hungry customers. If you keep the portions small to moderate people will opt not to return especially when they are hungry. Overall I recommend "LEAF" THE FOOD I ORDERED WAS GREAT! I will eventually oder again, but not when...

This is my second time ordering from this store, first time was delivered with care, this time around the food was placed in a container upside down and thrown away in the bag handled poorly, I called to complain and see if they could replace it and no one is picking up the phone so I issued a refund..the lid was not secure on the container and the entire thing was placed in the bag upside down...who does that!!! such very poorly handled managing. Great food but they Need to take there time and package the food better. 🙃

UPDATE: To the Owner_ Please don't sell yourself short to your own establishment I was just pointing out to have a better proper handle on packaging the food in right it had nothing to do with the delivery..how you give it to them is how they receive it and deliver it..and you bad mouthing us the customers is how you will entirely loose customers and business for you to upkeep a running establishment..no need to take jabs at me personally it's unprofessional, quite childish and embarrassing really..just learn and grow from mistakes to be better since your new and all..Thank you...

It would not be an exaggeration to say I had the WORST service experience in my life here. The person working there was rude the point where it was actually funny. He is really miserable. I came to pick up an order, place is completely empty, that person in the counter gives me an angry look and keeps doing whatever. When I ask where can I pick up my order he ignores and starts throwing pick up orders towards me on the counter. I had to look through them to find my order. When I asked if I can eat indoors, he looked at me appalled and said “you wanna eat HERE?” and, well, I did. The food itself was alright, ingredients were superbly fresh but for some reason my so-called “warm bowl” was actually fridge-cold. Whoever this person is - he should not be working with people. Reading recent comments I can tell he normally treats people like that. It’s really great that this place takes pride in being women owned and LGBTQ friendly, but it would be a great start to just be civil to your...
