Mad Dog is EXTREMELY DISCRIMINATE in regards to their policies & to whom they extend certain courtesies to. My coworkers and I frequent the Pearl St. location on a REGULAR basis. Whenever we’re there, we ALWAYS order a Margarita pitcher and sit OUTSIDE. This afternoon around 5:30pm -the usual time we are there- request our pitcher and let the hostess know we would like to be seated outside. She then proceeds to tell us that it’s MANDATORY to that a meal is required for outside, in which we then ask to speak to the manager. When the manager arrives he RUDELY and in a condescending tone states that in order to order a pitcher we have to be seated at the BAR. We then go on to explain that we come regularly, almost weekly in fact, and we’ve never been told that it was in fact policy. He then stated that he has been there for over two years and has absolutely NO recollection of us ever being customers. We then choose to go inside to sit at the bar, however we are met by security who, by the Manager’s insistence, states that we are NO LONGER ALLOWED at this establishment. Just like that. There was no altercation, no profane language used by ANY of us, so the ‘ban’ is extremely unjust. In addition to this, while we are standing outside (writing this review) there were PLENTY of other patrons, Caucasian patrons at that, seated outside with absolutely NO FOOD! (My coworkers and I are black and Hispanic minorities by the way). The way we were treated was totally UNACCEPTABLE and UNJUST! We also work in the food and service industry (where the customer is ALWAYS right) and have NEVER made any of our customers feel this way. I’m DISGUSTED at the lack of professionalism displayed, how we were TREATED & something needs to be done about that Manager !

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mad Dog Mexican Restaurant located on Pearl Street in the Financial District of Manhattan, and I must say it was a fantastic experience! From start to finish, everything was top-notch and deserving of a 5-star review. The Chips & Salsa appetizer was an absolute delight, with fresh tortilla chips that were perfectly crispy and not too salty. The accompanying pico de gallo burst with flavor and complemented the chips perfectly. It was a great way to kick off the meal and whet my appetite for what was to come. I ordered The Tacos de Pollo for my entree, which was simply fantastic. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the toppings of lettuce, pico de gallo, and fresh cheese added the perfect freshness and flavor. The rice and black beans side dish was a great addition and made the meal even more fulfilling. I also ordered a soda drink, which came quickly in a glass with ice, and I must say it was pretty enjoyable. The beverage was perfectly chilled, and the ice didn't water it too quickly. It was a great addition to my meal and the overall dining experience. I opted to sit inside and was impressed by the great decor and ambiance, which made me feel like I was dining in Mexico City. The service was fast, attentive, and friendly, making me feel at home. The restaurant also has outdoor street seating and a second-floor seating area, which is excellent for larger groups. Overall, I can't recommend Mad Dog Mexican Restaurant enough. If you're looking for a great Mexican restaurant in the Financial District, be sure to give Mad Dog a try! The food, service, and atmosphere were top-notch and deserve a five-star review.

I've been to the Midtown location several times and have posted my review for it previously and this location is subpar. Food was bland and cold. I expected better to be honest. I ordered the Al Pastor Tacos and chicken tacos and the chicken chimichanga. I couldn't get past 1 chicken taco. It was cold and the chicken was not seasoned at all. The only thing making it bearable was the hot sauce. The chicken chimichanga was also very bland and tasted like oil. While I do love the Al Pastor tacos usually, this time it was very hard for me to enjoy it while it was cold. It wasn't bland as the pineapple gave it a some added juice. The drinks were okay but lacking in the flavor department. Margaritas, frozen and on the rocks, were ordered with different flavors, coconut and passion fruit and strawberry. You could barely taste any of the flavors and the only distinguished flavor was an over powering lime. Moving on to the service. The waiter was quick and efficient to get the drinks which was good, though the food took awhile and he was nice at certain times, but he refused to customize any plate or dish. He didn't go and ask any one, he just refused immediately. Some people can't have certain items due to dietary restrictions and he just dismissed it. It was very unprofessional. And lastly, the bill. Since when is a party of 4 a large party that requires an additional fee? Not only that, but there was the gratuity added. I usually do not mind, but when the food comes out cold because you were at the bar talking to other waiters and we have to call you over to even get your attention should not mean you get a 25% tip. Especially when you snuck in a "large party" charge because you knew you could get away with it. Overall I am very disappointed in the Financial District location. And while I do love the atmosphere and the outside area is very nice and large, I do not recommend this location. I will not be returning to it. I will be sticking to the Midtown location. They are miles above in customer service and actually...

If you don't drink alcoholic beverages, you don't go there to eat, they treat you very badly I went to the mid-town location with 3 friends and none of us drank alcohol, since we arrived the woman was forcing us to order alcoholic beverages and didn't let us read the menu, we told her to give us a few minutes and she appeared at our table about 4 times in less than 5 minutes, we ended up ordering an entry and then the woman appears in less than 2 minutes asking us to order the food, so we did order, but in a few minutes they brought us the entrance and the food, all together. A men with a dad actitud brought the food and we had to put some food in our seat because he literally threw everything in one of the corners of the table without accommodating anything on the table, and addition to it they sent us the wrong orders, and they got mad when we ask fix their mistake, not ours!! ...And not enough, they turned on the noisy and strong air conditioning in the back that we were sitting, finishing eating cold food, come on!!! Outside was really cold and I made the reservation there in order to have a nice Mexican food and warm place to eat. The “food is not free” it is expletive though and was not a rush hours to push people to go even though that is not correct!! They won, because we couldn’t stay setting there eating in a cold food and cold place. Giving you 1 start because I needed to write the review. How RUDE is to treat people like that. I never had that embarrassing moment in any restaurant in Manhattan, I felt so bad with my friends because two of them were visiting the city for the first time. I’m an influence in social media and will keep spreading the voice that people never go...
