All right, so boom...

After a couple weeks of coming to this place for ice coffee (yes I know it's Winter, get lost lml) because there really isn't anything else near by, I have to admit it really grew on me. The food is pretty good but a little pricey for what it is (rich area, I get it). But the pastries! By far the best options to pick up when you go there. I haven't tried most of the main courses so I can't really speak on that too much. I had a chicken sandwich which was pretty basic. Saving grace of this place that warrants a five star is the service of this place, especially Eldene.

I would say it's appropriate to label her (not sure of pronouns) "The Consummate Professional" at Maman Coffee. Anytime I go there and she's behind the counter I know it's gonna be a delivery of service that transcends expectations. Her unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction, establishing a personal connection defines the Maman Coffee experience. Eldene's attention to detail and genuine care for patrons create an environment where every visit is marked by precision and a sense of refined hospitality. Maman Coffee owes much of its success to Eldene's professionalism, making it a destination of choice for those seeking unparalleled service and quality.

That being said I don't know everyone's name that works there but it has been nothing but excellent from anybody that I have had interacted with there. Everyone has a smile and everyone is genuinely cheerful. As a construction worker it's really nice to not be looked at as some gross individual but as a regular individual.

Today was my first and last time eating at this location. I placed my order and received my drink very fast and it was delicious. However, when the food came it wasn’t what I ordered. I let the waitress know and she took it back. I waited a while and she came back with another dish that also was not what I ordered. I let her know and she walked away and came back with the same food and someone I am assuming is a manager. She basically asked if I still wanted the sandwich that came out because they made it for me and I had to tell her multiple times that that’s not what I ordered and what my correct order was. It felt as though they were blaming me and were annoyed that I sent back two plates of food. I ordered a specific meal with modifications so I don’t understand the mix up and i’m not accepting and paying for food that I didn’t ask for. She quickly dropped my correct order off without saying anything and wasn’t at all apologetic. After that I felt like I was getting the cold shoulder because I wasn’t offered any condiments, no one ever came back to the table to check in even though I watched other tables being catered to, and I had to stop the waitress just to ask if I could pay. After I paid I said thank you and she just walked away. The food was really good and they were pretty busy but that interaction and the service made me uncomfortable. I’ll go to other locations...

The service was good and everyone was friendly. The coffee is great, no complaints.

It is very confusing to make one order with multiple items, and wait in two separate places for them. Super weird and not at all user-friendly. The barista was nice enough to direct me.

The “maman breakfast sandwich” is entirely caramelized onions. Cloyingly sweet, dripping with sugar, caramelized onions. The entire bottom of the sandwich was caramelized onions. The whole thing, and I am not exaggerating.

The flavor and sweetness of the caramelized onions completely dominated the flavor of the sandwich. Couldn’t even taste the avocado. The bacon was delicious, but I only know this because I pulled the last slice of bacon out of the sandwich so I could actually taste it. The runny eggs were also a disappointing (and extremely messy) feature, but I should’ve noticed the word “sunny” next to the word “egg”, so that’s my bad.

Maman should change the name of this sandwich to “Le type 2 diabetes caramelized onion sandwíche”. Whoever is this obsessed with caramelized onions needs to stop contributing to the menu. Good lord. That was really excessive. Just give me a bucket next time, y’know? Really lean into it. Go...
