As a longtime fan of the brand, I've been fortunate to meet some of the special people and visit some of Belstaff's locations across the country and worldwide, in years past. I was very happy to see the Meatpacking flagship location open up within the past year, and in the past several months especially, the team at this store have been unbelievably kind, helpful, and professional, not only restoring some older pieces in my personal collection but also finding some truly unique finds and a vintage jacket I have been searching for many years.
Sharing a massive thank you to the entire team, and one shout out to Raffy in particular, who runs the workshop in the store - Raffy is an absolute star, and his vision for the workshop in terms of client service, customisation, and even starting some in-store events and email announcements, has been a bright spot in this 2021 in particular. Raffy's now hand-waxed and restored two of my favorites and he is like a Renaissance-era craftsman with his vast skills, and knowledge and understanding of the brand's history.
Everyone in the store is great but if you are looking for something truly unique and extraordinary, do yourself a favor and visit the back of the store where you'll find Raffy in his mad workshop. He has a seemingly infinite depth of ways to customize, unique styles and pieces to try, and you can work with him to create something special. (also, get in-the-know on upcoming events and Belstaff history!)
Thank you Raffy, and thank you Belstaff Meatpacking for bringing this brand back to NYC in such a special...
Read moreOne star for the manager. The other staff was great. There was a black-haired girl and a tall blonde guy, he was absolutely amazing, helpful and kind. I was looking to get a jacket (Racemaster $495) and an Icon vest ($275) and I asked a manager if I can get a free hat, beanie ($75) because I saw it online that they had a deal, if you buy something over $500 you get a hat. He was like, NO. That was a 3 day only deal, ended yesterday canât do it. So I asked if I can get ANY kind of deal? He was like, no , that jacket is the best seller thereâs no discount on it. I told him maybe a 10% discount for a new customer (because they do it online when you sign up) and also itâs a Black Friday in a couple of days Iâm sure he can do something. Nope. I asked him âSo youâre willing to let me walk out on the $800 dollars purchase because of the hat?â He said YES. So I left . To be honest Iâm more disappointed than angry. The thing is, he the manager, wasnât even interested in trying to sell me something or to make me feel like a got a deal, I wouldâve walk out happy and probably come back for more stuff, he was like if you donât like it donât come. And I wonât. Maybe you should treat your...
Read moreWhat an outstanding store! Ralph Lauren, Zegna, Varvatos, Barbour, Cucinelli, etc. take note - this is how itâs done! The quality and selection of products, customer service, and experience at the new Meatpacking location is second to none! With so many menswear options available and online shopping becoming de rigueur, Belstaff sets an example for what in-person shopping can (and should be) in 2020 and beyond. The store envelops you in the image and feel of the brand the minute you step through the front door off Gansevoort Street. Make sure to visit Raffaelâs workshop in the back of the store where he will help you customize your items (new or old) with your own unique touches (chain-stitching, patches, laser-etching, and other amazing options) to make a garment that is truly one-of-kind that you wonât want to take off - and trust...
