This review is about the customer service at Maman Tribeca. I do love their coffee and food. But was really disappointed by the service today. ‘Be been using Maman app for about a year now, and every other time there are issues with the app or employees are not fully aware how the system works. When the employee refused to contact anyone who could provide support, I asked for a manager’s email, or a customer support email, or a complaint log. I was refused to be provided anything, the barista at this point asked me to the leave store, she “didn’t like the way I was treating her”. I asked her to explain what exactly was said wrong. I believe it is my right to try to use the app, since you guys do have it and promote its usage. And if something is not working, I always look to see if it can be fixed. That was why I asked for a manager’s support. I’m assuming that was me not treating them well, because when I asked what exactly she meant by this, the barista refused to give any explanation. I would like to bring this up to your attention, because this is not the way to treat anyone. Conflicts happen, but it is the way you treat a conflict that defines the future relation. Refusing to speak, refusing any assistance and just ask me to leave without any...
Read moreMaman had been on my list, as I wanted to try their chocolate chip cookie, on my self made chocolate chip cookie tour, but what a great find! We stopped by late on Saturday morning for a coffee and a cookie and were greeted and given a cozy sofa seat, by Washington, the GM. The oat milk cappuccino I ordered was probably one of the best hot drinks i have ever had. It was perfect. The cookie...oh the cookie. Layers of chocolate chips with, just a smattering of nuts, that adds a wonderful crunch. The cookie was perfectly baked, crisp edges, with a nice soft bite. So good! We loved it so much we went back for breakfast on Sunday. I had the caramelized onion quiche, and by far it was the best quiche I have ever had in a restaurant. Another cappuccino and a perfectly flaky chocolate croissant finished off the meal. The aesthetic of the TriBeCa location is so lovely. Calming blues and whites, rustic furniture, mismatched blue and white china, really well executed. All of the service was great, but Washington was the best front of house staff I have encountered in a long time. He was so welcoming, thoughtful and kind. Absolutely can't wait to visit again, and it will be hard to plan future trips unless I can stay within walking distance...
Read moreThis is my first time here for brunch with my daughter and future daughter in- law. In the front of the store are cads located on the right side and all sorts of toys and stuffed animals that can accommodate a toddler to a young teenager . Then to the back left are baked items , beautiful to gaze upon and along with gluten free options too. In the dining area is a high ceiling with realistic vines on the ceiling and wall and antique Bohemian quaint decor. There are two couches on the right and you can sit two to three people with a coffee table serving as the table for food. On the left are family style tables with individual chairs. The food was fresh, good portions and was aesthetically appetizing. Our waiter was patient and knew the menu well and was friendly. I just felt like I was enjoying a meal in the comfort of my home with my family; even though it was a cafe. I would definitely recommend this place. Please be patient if there is a little wait too. It's worth it. I loved the toys in the front of the place because of the variety and was able to pick up a few items. I definitely will return to...
