This major Brutalist building comes across as a major surprise among its period neighboring buildings on White Street, almost as if landed from outer space. It was designed by William N. Breger (1922-2015). The Tribeca Synagogue is his most famous work. He got a graduate architecture degree from Harvard University and worked for two years for Walter Gropius as an assistant and draftsman.
