I recently ordered take out from this authentic Latin cuisine restaurant, Mambo’s, that left me utterly impressed. The star of the evening was their Surtido platter, a delightful assortment of tostones, chicharrones de pollo (chicken), chicharrones de cerdo (pork), sorullos (corn fritters), and fried cheese bites. Delicious food!!! We live in the same neighborhood of where Mambo's is located and we are so happy to have a new spanish spot to order from. They offer in-house delivery and it's really great to support the restaurant directly and not have to pay crazy service charges on food delivery apps. We ordered the Cuban sandwich, the ham & cheese sandwich, fried chicken chunks, tostones, 1 beef, and 1 cheese empanada. As prior navy chef and tv personality contestant chef words cannot describe how amazing this husband and wife team have created just right down the block from my house. The Minute I bit into their Cuban sandwich my south Florida memories came back! If you live in the North Shore and have not stopped into Mambo’s you are missing out on something very very very special.
