If you want to taste real spanish food, then this is your place.
It's my favorite place since I'm living in New York, maybe a little bit pricy, but that's because all the products you're eating are imported from Spain. And if you look at the quality It's worth it.
I go there several times per year and I love it, cause I'm from Galicia (Spain), like the owners, and I know I'm paying for what I'm eating. Very good quality, flavors, service and managers. I also love the decoration, it makes me feel like home.
I've almost tried all the plates and there's no one I didn't like, but if I have to highly recommend some would be:
Soups:
Caldo gallego
Cold tapas:
Paellas
Paella valenciana
Desserts: I've tried them all and they are delicious. The "flan" and the "tarta de Santiago" are maybe the best ones
Drinks:
Sangria
White wines: Albariño
Red wines: Rioja
They also have a party room downstairs, but I didn't do any party there yet. I'll definitely try it some day. I'm sure it will...
Read moreSave yourself the headache and eat somewhere else. I came to Manolo Tapas to celebrate something special with a few friends and the beginning of our night was ruined. We had to find somewhere else to eat at the last minute because of our awful experience.
#1. CASH ONLY! In 2018 (almost 2019)!
#2. Very pretentious! There is a difference between having an upscale vibe to your restaurant and being downright obnoxious. Those employees must think they’re hot sh*t. A member of my party could not eat here due to the limited menu options and the waiter was unnecessarily rude to them. They treated them like they were beneath their restaurant only because they could not eat here. There’s actually a sign that tells outsiders to keep their voices down. THIS IS IN WASHINGTON HEIGHTS! Sidenote: Workers in uniform are allowed to smoke a cigarette outside, but people can’t wait a few minutes outside for their Uber?
#3. Extremely limited menu! If you look closely at the items, some of them are actually the same concept but with one little tweaked ingredient. Menu does not have side dishes, like rice or fries, only overpriced main courses.
#4. Speaking of main courses, portions are extremely small for the price.

Read moreI came here before a theater show. I will say that the service and food turnaround is really quick, without making you feel like they want you out of the restaurant as soon as possible. The wait staff was helpful in making recommendations and offering advice on food choices. This place is CASH ONLY. they have an ATM for you to use.
It's pretty spacious and has seating for larger groups, they also are portioned to let themselves out for private events if you choose. I do like the decor, lots of wood and they have some spanish themed pieces on the wall, looks like a little restaurant in spain as you travel the roads between cities.
While they have larger plates, we chose the hot tapas- we had the dates, the chorizo in wine sauce, the shrimp and the steak on bread slices. I highly recommend the dates and the shrimp, the sauce for the latter was fantastic. The other dishes were great as well, they rounded out the meal, I would say everything was really flavorful and uniquely prepared. I also got the honey ice cream crepes for dessert which were delish and they come with preserves. total...
