Marshalls — Local services in New York

I've shopped from this Marshalls countless times, and I can positively say the dressing room employees have been nothing but rude and dismissive every single time I've shopped there. Today, when I was leaving the dressing room, I hung my items on the rack just as they require, and as I did this, the employee proceeded to yell at my mother for bringing her personal grocery cart inside the dressing room; however, the employee beforehand had also yelled at my mother that she COULDN'T LEAVE her personal grocery cart with the Marshalls carts outside the dressing room when my mother tried to leave it. Which is it? Can we bring it inside with us or not? Therefore, I simply said her "I have a question about that," in which this employee then got very close to my face (I had to take a step back), reach forward to touch my arms to hold me in place so she can tell me off. She proceeded to tell me "well I don't know, you're going to have to talk to the manager up front about any questions because I don't know what the policy is, WHAT I DO KNOW is that you're not allowed to bring carts." I'm confused, you just contradicted yourself. Do you know? or do you not know? Why is it my responsibly to know the policy if I don't work there? Shouldn't the employee know their own store's policy before yelling at customers for another employee's direction? It is clear there are individuals who work at this Marshalls who do not understand the basics of customer service. I hope in the future, I do not have an interaction this demeaning, as all I wanted to know is: "are customers allowed to bring their personal grocery carts or not? If we are not, will employees look after them so they're not stolen? or, are we as customers always responsible for our personal items?" I've worked retail before, and can safely say, if it's our personal items from OUTSIDE THE STORE, we must always take them with us because a store is not responsibility for any lost goods or personal property. If you've given us a number of items blue tag, and we return with said amount of items, there shouldn't be a problem. Please do better Marshalls Washington Heights, and ensure that the employees learn their own policy because it's clear there is confusion and miscommunication...

I went to this Marshall’s on a Tuesday morning at about 9am. I always prefer to shop in the morning, when shops are still organized, peaceful, and store associates aren’t aggressive yet.

This Marshall’s doesn’t have much along the lines of good brands. Sometimes you can fine Lucky Brand, Levi’s, Joe’s Jeans, and Cynthia Rowley tops. I even found a Theory shirt once. And a Blank NYC real suede jacket.

It’s hit or miss, but don’t expect to find quality brands.

Their beauty department is pretty large and has potentially great products, but almost all the products have been opened by barbaric shoppers.

They have yoga mats. I got a Manduka Pro Mat yoga mat for $50 (retail $130).

The food section is small, but they have some good gourmet food finds which can make for unique gifts.

I got Krispy Kreme Jelly Beans, Black Licorice Jelly Beans, Ginger Orange Chimes, Ginger Mango Chimes, and cinnamon sticks.

In the shoe section, the main brands were Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour, including Jordan’s and Tubular’s.

What a Chaos! I was coming out of George Washington Bridge Station when I saw the great commotion and a huge line of people going into the Marshall Store for its new opening in the Washington Heights community.

The place was a total chaos, and just for a minute I thought I was in a Salvation Army Store!

The merchandise and products they are offering this community are old fashion and fading out clothing of poor quality.

The shoes and sports shoes looked like replicas.

The lack of organization was completely over board!

People were crazy making huge lines to purchase one or two items.

I heard many people advising others to hold your purse tide because they thought because of the disorder thieves were loose and people could be easy targets

Suggestion: The merchandise needs to be presented in a more organize way to attract costumers!

Merchandise has to reflect the life style pf the community!

Personnel needs rigorous training...
