As a huge sushi fan, I was excited to try this place. And I must say, the customer service is ridiculous.
I had my order arrive nearly 2 hrs later. I had someone call me (I thought it was the delivery guy) well he spoke in another language I couldn’t understand. I kept asking what and they proceeded to ask me what. They passed the phone around to several people. And laughed at me as I tried to figure out who it was and what was happening. And in the middle of me asking, I was hung up on. So I called the restaurant and was told my food was on the way.
The order was $80. Not a cheap order. I’m 2 blocks away. Literally 2 avenues away. I made just one very tiny and specific note. I can’t eat spicy foods. So it was hard trying to find a roll to order. I found a special roll that had zero spice ingredients. But it did come with a spicy sauce. I wrote it very clear to please not to add any spice to this roll. To please put the spicy sauce on the side. This was not done. It it’s poured all over the roll. There is no way I can even scrape it off. Zero efforts were made to not add spice to this roll. This was very very disappointing. So I called to ask and was rudely cut off. Told my delivery should’ve arrived the second I mentioned the word order. When I asked the guy speaking to please not cut me off and let me finish, he gave me attitude and said ugh let me put the manager on. I heard him speaking in the background, making zero efforts to get the manager, then hangs up on me.
Im really appalled at the disrespect i receive for zero reason. I never ever post reviews but felt obligated to do so here because not one person was willing to hear me out. Being laughed at and hung up on. Countless times. Y’all left me no choice. Don’t trust this place at all. Spend your money a couple streets away at Sushi yu 2. They may be slightly pricey but it’s worth it. And the customer service there is amazing. Never again will I ditch them for another sushi place. I...
Read moreHave been here twice so far for dinner after work during the week. I’m nothing but positive about both experiences! Food is great, service is good and vibe is fun & chill!
The happy hour menu is wonderful! Valid every day (besides holidays) from 3pm til 7:30pm.
What I personally love about Geisha Asian Fushion is that they have vegetarian friendly options for vegetarians like myself. I had the sweet potato and peanut avocado (cooked) sushi rolls and both are delicious ($7 per roll)! From the happy hour menu I had the scallion pancake ($7), which was a good portion and yummy!
The owner is very kind and so are the staff! Service is kind and quite fast! If you’re picky with where you initially get seated (like I can be), the owner and staff are very accommodating (depending on how busy it is at the moment of course). But I personally appreciate this very much!
The establishment is very well taken care of. It’s clean, modern looking with a fun “lounge” vibe to it with Japanese art on the walls.
FYI: 18% gratuity is included already when you get your receipt. But it is done in an honest manner, because there are stickers on the menu that clearly state it. And the owner also mentioned it when he handed over the receipt.
The only negative thing I have to say is that I’m bummed out I don’t live closer!🥲(We live a few stops away with the A train) I’d pick up sushi every week here if it was walking distance from where we live.
I definitely recommend everyone to give Geisha a try when craving sushi or Asian...
Read moreLet me say that of the 3 times I've eaten sushi here, I got little spike/bones in the eel twice. The first bone I found, I didn't complain. I understand mistakes happen.
The second one I found, the spike stabbed me badly in the gums in the back of my mouth and I couldn't remove it myself. My partner had to take it out with tweezers! The whole experience was extremely painful.
My partner loves sushi and this is the closest location, so I decide to give it one last shot.
AGAIN found another bone/spike thing in the eel sushi. Not only that, I orded a pork ramen and the meat was nothing but fat. I usually love meat but this ramen tasted so bad. Shoyu ramen is supposed to be like a salty soy sauce thing but they even made the green veggies taste like pork fat 😣
Lastly after EVERYTHING, a tip of %18 was automatically added that no one told me about. Plus there is a card fee too. I've worked in a restaurant so I try really hard to not be difficult or a Karen, but never has a place made me so mad. I don't think I could eat eel sushi again for a long time because the stab in my jaw was so painful :/
Definitely go somewhere else for sushi, I gave this place a try 3 times and it...
