The store is always well stocked and clean. The butchers are all attentive and knowledgeable, and I have received great information on ways to prepare the meat/fish I have bought. Overall though, the store is just fine for calling itself a specialty market. Many prices are not posted or visible, which is inappropriate. The produce is costly for the neighborhood; they are more aligned with organic/non-GMO prices. However, it is just regular produce in most bodegas or street corners in the surrounding area, and at times, they look like they are about to spoil. The dry goods are not unique either, with the occasional Spanish brand you won't find anywhere else. I think the fishmonger, butcher, and cheese counter are the selling points of the store; however, prices are not posted for each department either, so it's hard to decide what you are planning to purchase. The cheese selection is straightforward, nothing that would be hard to find at other grocery stores, but solid. I have purchased fish from here, and its sound quality; is on the pricey end, especially if you do not know if it was sustainably caught or farm-raised.
