MCDONALD'S WOULD RATHER USE SELF-SERVE KIOSKS THAN PAY EMPLOYEES A HIGHER Wage. Does McDonald's food actually taste good? Who cares? It's cheap! One of the primary ways that McDonald's pulls that off is by paying the majority of its employees the least that it's legally allowed to do so. In most places, that's right at, or close to, the federal standard of just $7.25 an hour, an amount economic experts prefer to as "a complete tease." However, many cities and states have recently opted to raise their local minimum wages, in the hopes that workers can finally afford more than a closet inside a studio apartment. In Arizona and Colorado, it's set to rise to $12 an hour, Washington's will soon be $13.50 per hour, and Los Angeles workers will get a minimum of 15 bucks an hour. These states that have the audacity to pay workers a living wage could severely cut into McDonald's bottom line, so the company has responded by threatening to replace its employees with robots: specifically, self-service kiosks. Robots work for free! At least, until the Uprising. Here's how it works: Customers come into a McDonald's, enter their order on a touchscreen, the company CEO buys another 500-foot yacht and vacations in Bermuda. RoboClerk then sends the order to the kitchen, where an actual human (for now) puts the food together. Yes, they do have to pay somebody for that job (for now), but it does mean McDonald's no longer has to staff a person at the counter—a great savings to the company, even at minimum wage. They'll roll these kiosks out nationally and internationally, if they prove to be efficient and cost-effective in test runs. What a golden time the future will be, when a screen instead of a human will ask "do you want fries with that?" And thier burgers...
Read moreOne of the Managers there hired my brother and when she asked him to come in for his video training, she had him wait and sent him home without training the first time. The next scheduled date she forgot and sent him home. Finally the third day after waiting three hours to watch the video, he finally did. He came back for training and she turned him away, next the first day actually physically training she expected him to know what he was doing and became frustrated with him. So she put him on garbage duty and stated he was too slow but she left without giving him any directions on how he may be able to do better nor did she respond to his calls or text messages for when he is scheduled to come back. Not to mention she did not have him fill out a W4 form, fill out an application or even giving an employee ID number prior to him starting training. I'm a job coach and that to me was very unprofessional and no one should play with someone's livelihood when they have rent to pay, a child to feed and its during the Holidays! I need corporates phone number for this location ASAP! Its unacceptable how a human being trying to survive is treated in...
Read moreI have been going to this McDonald's for the past few years so I think I know what I'm talking about. PI: Compared to back then the service I'd rate a 2.5, they are nice but get the orders mixed up and half the time forget something. When there management changed they would somehow always forget to give me my complete order, so now before I leave I make sure I have everything not only that but I have waited more than 30 minutes for my order before and that's with 4 other customers. PII: As for the food, the first thing I have to say is they don't know how to salt their fries. when I look at how the make the drinks they don't even fill it to the top. They fill it 3/4 of the way. PIII:had the pandemic not happen and we could dine in I'd give it a higher rating because the place is pretty clean compared to other Mcdonald's I've been to. I also applied to work in this place but never got a response and in no way am I blaming the staff but I'm just saying their fries would be slated had they hired me...
