The 86th street one has been nicely renovated and made larger. Its under the train station and I dont hear the trains so that's a plus for them. The food is good and fresh, the place is clean including the rest rooms when I've been there and well stocked.
There's plenty of room in the playcenter for kids and their family to play around. I do shopping in the area and wait there for my friend who has the car to finish his business in the area and pick me up.
The place is kind of crowded with jhs kids so it does get loud as expected.
My pet peeves are that the new workers, sometimes do not understand English well and aggressively insist on helping me with the automatic ordering machine. Those things don't work for customized requests( I could be wrong but haven't met anyone who can properly help me with my customized order) . tried it myself and it didn't allow for such. Customized for example: burger without their special sauce or mcChicken sandwhich or eggs and sausages without their sweet sauce. Anyway two of them were so gung ho in helping they could not understand what a McGriddle sandwhich is to the level that they couldn't even understand what I was pointing at. My english is fine, I speak up nice and clearly for them but sometimes it becomes pointless. I tell them to go help someone else.
My other peeve is that parents allow their very young screaming children to run around without supervision or block the regular area when they could do much better in the other room made for children and that place is almost empty.
My last peeve is that im always bombarded with stragglers asking for a dollar (wow inflation!) and they're quite aggressive about it. I was there for an hour and a half and got approached by 3 of them. I once asked if I could by them food instead and got dirty looks and cussing me out in front of children. That reinforced that we shouldn't give them ANY money ever.
The management and crew and cleaning people are all always extremely busy and can't do anything about this so I do understand.
Its a very good place to eat, bring your family and friends, just expect a few long lines during lunch hour...
Read moreI've known and gone to this location for 20 years. I know some of the staff and grew up with them. It used to be great. As of May 2024, I reduced my 2-star review down to 1-star. It seems management is getting worse.
In October 2023, I've reduced my review of this location from 5 stars to 2 stars because of how I've seen service this last year. Simple orders, such as a box of McNuggets or 1 singular Ice Cream cone take as much as 15-20 minutes to complete— which compared to other locations such as Bay Pkwy/20th Avenue, can get it done in
Read moreI recommend looking through your bag before you leave. My order was missing one of my sandwiches. Also the chicken nuggets were puny. They should have called them chicken pebbles. Unfortunately I didn't notice my missing sandwich until I got home. I tried calling them over and over again but there was no answer. I called corporate McDonald's, and the website said to reach out to the restaurant. It was frustrating to drive back especially with today's gas prices. The manager was pleasant, however he asked if I had a receipt and they didn't give me one because I ordered through the app. The app of course didn't have the order number. He ended up giving me my sandwich, but he made an excuse that sometimes nuggets are of different sizes. I showed him a picture that I have attached to this review and he saw how puny they were and gave me a six piece to make up for it. Overall, he was pleasant but it was still a frustrating and annoying experience. What if I was far away from the restaurant? There's no corporate number, and you can't reach them by phone. You're just out of luck. My suggestion is the app should have a complaint area so at least you can get reimbursed for the...
