Overall: I can recommend Tacos Mi Ranchito if you're craving some birria in Brooklyn. I know I'll be back for some more.
Ambiance The taco truck is unmissable and has a large screen that displays the menu as well as different pictures, allowing you to visualize what you're ordering. You have the option to pay with cash or digitally, giving the customer a nice bit of convenience.
Food and Drink Birria Tacos Initially, I ordered 4 tacos to share between 2 people, but I had to go back and order 5 more. Even though it was my first time trying this taco truck and I should've tried different protein options, the birria tacos here were just that much better than other taco trucks I've had in Brooklyn. The birria meat is still juicy and the outer taco shell is grilled such that it serves as a hard shell. The consume is nice and hearty.
Other Tacos Other tacos that you order here won't have the same shell treatment that birria tacos have. They're still double shelled, but both are soft. On a separate visit, I had the Suadero (tender beef), Orejas (pig ears), and Cueritos (pork skin). They were alright, but the birria experience was...
Read moreThe food is always amazing! I usually order the chicken plate or chicken tacos. I love that the chicken plate is a decent portion and you get an order of tortillas on the side and it’s only $11; very worth it. The chicken tacos are $3 each, which is slightly pricey, but I’m willing to pay because they’re that good. The wait time is approximately 10-15 minutes, which is great; while you wait you can explore the stores within the vicinity and/or pick up bubble tea, which I always do, from Yaya (one block away) or any the other shops further down 86th Street (Kung Fu Tea, ViVi, etc.). They don’t take credit card, so make sure you have cash, Zelle, or Venmo. They are also on Uber Eats (does take credit card) but if you’re ordering through the app, they charge more, so if you’re able and willing to go to their location in person,...

Even though I am Mexican, I'm from Texas which is totally different than being from NYC, I digress. Sometimes I don't agree with NY mexican cuisine but this is some of the best I've tried. The nachos were delicious I almost didn't miss the tex mex queso I'm accustomed to. The torta reminded me of Chilango version & let's face it, they make the...
