Last night I was very excited about going to try this restaurant. We were a party of 3 and seated right away by the door around 7:30pm. We immediately noticed the nice decor, the comfortable atmosphere, the cleanliness and bustling staff. The menu was unique but missing some basic appetizers and options. Our server, Krystal B. was a friendly young lady who was helpful explaining the various type of pizzas on the menu. That was about it. She took our order but our pizzas were served one at a time. The last one didn't come for a long time and we had to inquire about the order... when she finally brought it we were told the first one didn't come out right so they remade it. It would have been appreciated if that was explained to us beforehand so it just seemed like a textbook excuse rather than the truth. She then asked if she could get us anything else and I requested cheese and salt and pepper (which were not on the tables). My pizza got cold while I waited, once again she had to be reminded. That further convinced me the excuse earlier about the pizza was a lie and she just forgot. When we expressed our disappointment we asked if we would be given consideration for the inconvenience. Krystal said she would ask her manager. They covered the one glass of wine that was ordered. Oh, don't let me forget the bugs flying around our food bc they didn't close the door... While we were waiting for the salt and pepper we heard another guest have to remind the owner, who she knew by name, for dressing they requested. He brought the dressing out in a small plastic "to go" cup rather than in a real service piece. The cheese I requested was brought to us in a small glass cup that held about 2 tablespoons of cheese for 3 people. After this experience it was very apparent this establishment doesn't care about the customer's convenience and consider hospitality to be shaking hands with select guests to appear impressive...that everything is based on the appearance of quality service but is, in fact, extremely limited. All in all the pizza was good, not worth the hype...
Read moreThe menu is limited to mainly pizzas and meatballs and a few salad choices. That's my gripe. We did not try the meatballs as I rarely order meatballs out. We were in the "mood" for pizza so we thought we'd skip Campania and use the ValPak coupon and try this place. I did read the reviews before heading over. Reviewers liked the decor, I did not but that's just my taste, I think Campania got their decor right...this was 'too cold' for me. We tried both a wood fired and coal fired pie (white clam only came coal fired). We all preferred the wood fired (pepperoni & olive) but clam pie was still fine. Had a specialty martini which was pretty (but not the kick of a true martini) ...it was nice but I can't critique it really. My issue is with the menu. What do you get before you have pizza as your dinner? Maybe some chicken wings or steamed clams..? Protein something....There is nothing to order. They have fried oysters. (Fried oysters!?) That's it. So we got an antipasto salad which was generous enough for 3 to 4 to share, (and the italian bread with it was excellent). You can get full sharing one of those with a basket of bread and a cocktail. (It was a bit overdressed so ask them to go light on the dressing). But after eating all that bread and cheese here comes your order of....bread and cheese. They need more choices even if it's just daily specials to give people options. The movie theater is opening soon but they dont sell slices and the small pies are not cheap so I dont know if they will make it on that. I think we are just oversaturated with Italian and pizza restaurants around here. The waitress was a doll and very helpful. The busboys were inexperienced and took plates before we were done etc. The owner(?) was accommodating but a bit too visual for me. You should try it...
Read moreI emailed management about this issue a week ago and haven’t heard a response. I’ve been visiting Millie’s two- three times a month for 2 years consistently. Sometimes more. I’m always in at lunchtime with my daughter and the food has always been great and the female staff who have served me are fantastic. Remembering my daughter name and my drink order. However when I’ve visited for dinner I’ve been served by the same male waiter three times over 2 years. And every single time he’s overcharged me for drinks. The first time I ordered the well drinks from happy hour , when the bill came he charged me titos at 14 a shot. This bumped my final bill up by an extra 50 dollars. I didn’t say anything the first time thinking maybe he misheard. The next time, I was specific with my order. Happy hour well vodka and coke. And he did it again. I challenged it this time and he said well you’ve drank it. Which I had obviously. Again this bumped my bill up, thus bumping up his 20% tip. Finally it happened again on Friday night. I ordered the coconut remix cocktail, with an extra shot of well happy hour vodka which is around 6 dollars. The bill came and he had just charged me for two coconut remix. Two whole drinks. When I challenges it he said well it’s the same price as the titos. He has done it again charged me for the more expensive liquor when I actually said twice I wanted happy hour well extra shot in my cocktail. Meaning I ended up paying THIRTY DOLLARS for a double vodka pineapple juice. His attitude was terrible and he took one dollar off the bill. Insulting. I paid. Left my usual 20% tip and left. I emailed Management that night who haven’t responded. Great place. Good good. Good atmosphere. HATE getting ripped off three times. I’ve spent thousands here...
