Ming's Kitchen — Restaurant in New York

I've been ordering from Ming's for several years now and I can honestly say it's a cut above the rest of the "fast food" Chinese take out joints in the area. The lady that picks up the phone is always in a good mood even when swamped with orders especially on crappy weather days. They save your phone number/ address so you save time and aggravation from repeating yourself over and over again.

Ming's is great because their food is always consistent in their taste and quality. I normally order their Sesame Shrimp over White Rice , a Chicken Corn Soup and a Singapore Mai Fun which comes with a Free Soda since it's over $15. The entire meal plus a good tip comes out to 20 bucks. The shrimp comes breaded perfectly and are huge.

I recently stumbled upon their Shrimp Lo Mein and I can honestly say that it's the best I've had for a while. The order isn't drowned in oil and it comes with lots of clean, deveined shrimp.

The food is good you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu That being said they do need to do something about their delivery guy because he has on various occasions been extremely rude and disrespectful, he knocks the door/rings the doorbell in an angry way and then is always complaining when you get to the door ( keep in mind that it’ll take me one or two minutes to get to the door but even if that’s the case) he will yell and curse, I have brought this to the attention of the people who answer the phone but he has done it so many times after that so I don’t know if they talk to him or anything. I really like the food from this place but maybe only for pickup since their delivery option is very uncomfortable to deal with. Edit:2/20/24 I really appreciate that they took into account the past review, I have ordered for delivery recently and the new delivery person is extremely kind and very different from the one they had before that made all the difference in my opinion so I have changed...

One star for aggressive delivery persons. Wanting to take all your change for tip. Order here for years. I canceled my order immediately for the first time after changing my mind. The person on the phone proceeded to harras me, asking what's the reason was. The reason is that I have a right to change my mind. Then she told me I couldn't order anymore. These businesses in minority neighborhoods have no respect for the community they serve. Delivery people are disrespectful and the business as well. As if you can't take your money somewhere else. They are filled with arrogance. My money has value, and the people who patronize these businesses in the community have value, too. If you are not treated with value, your money should go elsewhere. Ming Lee Chinese food did me a favor. A lesson well learned. I suggest the community avoids this business in order not to learn this lesson the hard way.
