Update:
Favorite is still their jasmine milk/oat milk tea! But sometimes I give their other drinks a chance too. During the release of new drinks or random weekends, they'll often have promotions for sachets, pins and magnets (I own 3 so far!). -peach oolong milk tea (newest addition). It tastes like peach flavored oolong milk tea so good for those who are fans of peach flavored drinks/desserts. -jasmine mango smoothie. Personally I feel like it has a slight edge over HeyTea's version and overall is a solid mango sago drink. Tea flavor is too noticeable when combined with mango. -osmanthus milk tea. Personal second favorite floral tea here. It's lightly flavored like the jasmine one but with a different flavor profile. -white champaca milk tea. This one is a pretty good floral tea too. -gardenia and dancong milk tea. I feel like I've tried these before but they weren't that memorable to me.
Drinks to still try: white champaca oolong, gardenia oolong, jasmine iced tea, pistachio jasmine coco, jasmine/white champaca matcha milk tea, gardenia iced tea
Also it seems like you can order the toppings on the side? Not sure if they package the drink order like that or if it's a separate purchase for that option. I see it via their online ordering platforms but not sure if it's also available in store.
2024: I'm so happy that they finally have a Chinatown location! Molly Tea made me a fan of Jasmine milk tea and so far, it holds the #1 spot. I went on grand opening day because I had heard that there would be a 20% off discount and also to redeem my free drink. Not too bad of a wait as they had prepared beforehand the free drinks, I just had to wait a bit for the additional Jasmine oat milk teas that I had ordered. Looks like there will be a loyalty program of sorts as well which I'm excited about because I will definitely be visiting soon again soon! FYI- be sure to sign up for their loyalty program to keep track...
Read more(more like 3 1/2 stars) Alright. c/o Pulp Fiction, "I want to know what a 9$ tea taste like". This is just tea, yall. No bubble, no jelly, no special milk, no foam, no cream. Just lemon juice and jasmine tea in perfume. Ok, I regrettably went on a VERY VERY humid, hot, UBER CROWDED, JAM PACKED CROWDED Sunday. The wait for your drink to be ready was unacceptable (Note: I don't blame the shop/service). It's the App orders vs in-line on spot orders. It clashed impeccably. The tea? well, it's definitely different. It's "Designer Tea", more/less "Fragrance" Tea. It's meant to be "sipped", not "chugged". AND I was dying of thirst by the time my order came up. I couldn't "chug" it (it's way to strong to be consumed this way). But I can only imagine on a neat summer night, dressed in pink, with your fellow date, and fixing your lipgloss while holding the thinnest straw to your lips. This be a nice mouth wash as much as it sounds romantic. The shop is cute, very pretty, but way over-priced, over-hyped. I call it "Desinger" Tea. It's equally charming and lovely as Pearl River / Shanghai Tang. The "Molly Tea" logo on the other hand... could've been...
Read moreItâs nice to see Molly Tea open a location right in Manhattanâs Chinatownâfinally, no need to trek out to Flushing and wait in that inevitable 15-minute line! This new shop feels sleek and modern, with its warm wooden paneling, glowing signage, and stylish merchandise display that makes the whole experience feel a little more premium.
I ordered their signature Oriental Jasmine Milk Tea, and it didnât disappointâjust as fragrant and smooth as always, with that signature floral aroma and creamy finish. They also offer options like floral whipped cream, oolong blends, and even a reward system if youâre a frequent visitor.
The store itself is cozy but well-organized, and the friendly reminder signs (like âmilk foam dissolves quickly!â) are a nice touch to ensure you enjoy your drink at its best. Itâs clear theyâre putting thought into both the product and the experience.
If youâre a jasmine tea lover or a fan of boutique bubble tea brands, this spot is absolutely worth a stopâespecially now that the wait is shorter and the vibes are...
