There are a great many posts praising Andrew, his knowledge of beer, and the selection at Nemo's. But I ask you, does proficiency in this one facet grant employees of Nemo's the right to be inconsiderate and rude to their customers?
In addition to the rudeness other patrons have cataloged here, my brother, last night, was the recipient of cold and indifferent abrasiveness.
My brother needed a charge for his iPhone, so paid for the third-party service that Nemo's has set up. After my brother plugged his phone in, it was ejected immediately, no charge had been transferred, and his credit card had been charged. When my brother spoke with the manager about this, the manager behaved as though he could not be bothered, and did not acquiesce to the basic courtesy of charging my brother's phone ( he wanted to go from 10% to 20%) for him.
My brother, naturally annoyed by this uncivilized and boorish behavior, took to Google to compose an unflattering review of Nemo's. The manager, outside now, smoking ( not sure what), and scrolling through reviews of his establishment, saw the reviews my brother had posted. He came back inside, bleary-eyed, confronted my brother, then left my brother hanging on a fist bump, after it seemed the two had come to amends.

Read moreI live in Forest Hills and Iâve been to this place a few times in the last few months with some friends and let me tell you their beer doesnât taste any better then a cheap beer or ale from the 99 cent store. I really donât like to write bad reviews to businesses especially with the pandemic and how bars/ restaurants are struggling to make ends meet today, but I really have had it with this so called owner that was beyond rude to me after I stopped by and used the restroom. I have come as a customer a few times and really needed to make an emergency restroom stop. Since I had patronized his establishment before, I didnât think it would be a big deal to quickly use the restroom. When I got out of the restroom the owner was very rude and nasty to me, telling me to never come back to his bar. I asked him why and he said because I wasnât spending money and that my type shouldnât be allowed to come to his place. I was appalled at his behavior and attitude and told him I will gladly not...
Read moreThis place is a great add to FH. The owner is very friendly, very nice, very knowledgeable about beer, and treats customers extremely well. The draft beer selection is always terrific and the prices are certainly competitive to the area. The canned selection of beers (sold cold, to stay or to take home, mind you) and non-beer alcoholic beverages (seltzers ciders and the like, I think) is certainly the widest selection anywhere in central Queens and probably anywhere between Astoria and the Total Wine & Beer in Westbury out in Nassau County.
I'd rather go here than several other places on Queens Boulevard for...
