Odd Fox Coffee — Restaurant in New York

I have been going here for years and love their coffee and pastries. Overall the staff are welcoming and friendly, with a few exceptions, and the atmosphere is what you want from a local coffee shop.

Unfortunately, they recently changed their sizes which prompted me to leave this review. A few weeks ago they started using smaller coffee cups but kept their prices the same. This felt like a sneaky way to raise prices versus keeping the sizes the same and increasing the cost. Perhaps more annoying, they no longer offer what would be considered large sized coffee cups. The current large is now the same size as the previous small, so even if you’re okay paying more, you can’t get a large sized cup of coffee. I’m fully supportive of businesses pricing their items as they see fit, but not offering a large sized cup doesn't make sense to me, and paying the same amount that I previously paid but for a smaller cup is...

Coffee is 7/10 but the staff is really hit or miss with attitude (mostly miss).

Been here many many times to enjoy a coffee or treat after work since this is one of my fav community spots.

Took an outdoor bench seat this morning rushing to work with a coffee (not even 2 mins seated) and was told I wasn’t welcomed there because I hadn’t bought anything - so much for community spots!

I know it sounds ridiculous to complain about this but it really shows the overall attitude toward the people who live in the area and coming from such an overpriced ⚪️⚪️⚪️ coffee shop to begin with it’s not a good look.

I would suggest a POC owned cafe in the area or just one with kinder staff like Botani...

The Baristas at the Throop ave. location were very rude. I have never received such poor customer service from any cafe. I literally stood there being ignored in a store with only one other customer. The customer had already received her order, while I stood there patiently waiting to be acknowledged. When I finally was acknowledged, I got a very abrupt "Do you know what you want yet!". I was so taken aback by the rudeness. The other Barista never made eye contact, just continued to pretend I was invisible. When I received my order, the coffee did not meet my expectations.
