Not sure how long this place has been here but I just found out about it and I wish I found it sooner!
We had the stir fried noodles with lamb. It can be spicy but they asked us how spicy we wanted it. We said just a little bit spicy. From my experience usually very spicy dishes are bland and the spice kind of covers it up. Not here! It was delicious even with a tiny bit of spice. The lamb was soft and not too strong in flavor. The noodles were nice and bouncy. The stir fry captured the smokiness of the wok. Would totally recommend!
We also got the pork "burger" or rougamo. The bun was flaky and satisfying. The pork itself was the star in my opinion. Usually the meat in these types of burgers are kinda dry and lack in flavor. But the pork at this restaurant was beautifully braised in a complex traditional kind of Chinese broth. Not dry and not too wet. A great combo with the flakey bun.
The place is pretty small and can only fit about 9 seats against the wall. But I think the food here are great for take out so I'm sure you can just take the food to any mall (like Tangram) or park or sidewalk and eat it there.
Our order tooka bit less than ten minutes to be done. And there were about 3-4 folks ahead of us. So really good in terms...

It is located on 39th ave in a small shop that the exterior can be easily overlooked. Small entrance but once you enter, the way interior design was done is to relax you and keep you separated from the loud street noise, to sit you for some delicious hearty dishes.
My friend and I decided to try it for a place that had been on my list for a long time, but did not visit yet. The experience and food/service was phenomenal. It was an eat and quick meal, AUTHENTIC LuoYang flavors. We had cold noodle with the classic meat stuffed pastry [肉夹馍 rou-jia-mo: pronounced row-era-mo] and a cup of the homemade yogurt. The combo was an enlightenment of taste buds with each single bite.
Overall experience had been great. I had been back since the initial visit multiple times already and still the same 3 things to get. Also to note, price was very fair for how authentic...
Read moreThe space is similar to a narrow hallway. On the right is a counter for eating most ideal for single diners, especially during busy dinner times (otherwise you can find seating for 2-3 next to each other).
My friends and I ordered 2 burgers and a noodle dish. Somehow the noodle dish took 15 min+ to come out. Although we thought we ordered "cold noodles", turns out it was stir fried "cold" noodles, so there was a mix up there (my Chinese is not good, so don't look at to me for an explanation). The noodles were alright, good spice but not much aside from noodles and bean sprouts in the dish.
The burgers were great though. The "bun" is crispy layers of pastry. My favorite was the black pepper, but the cumin lamb was also quite good. TL'DR Get the...
