As a local and a fan for 7 years, after today I am never ordering. The option for "mild' has always been open, ordering the shimp, eggplant and basil mild.. it arrived with EIGHTEEN chilli peppers. I called, they apologized. The second time- same order MILD.. 16 chilli peppers.. ok. after an apology I was told they would credit me the next time. The next time.. no one had any idea what I was talking about, there was no note so I looked like I was trying to get a free meal or something..not worth it, dont order that meal again, move on. Since then, every one of my past 5 orders came incomplete either lacking a soda or the rice, after calling and waiting 45 mins they send another delivery man who complains that he isn't getting a tip and I explain the last guy got $5!! regardless gave him money, too. After this happened over and over I began making it clear to pLEASE check the order before sending it. Today I ordered the chicken in oyster sauce the meal includes rice.. I ordered appetizers as well, and added , from there menu, another rice that they have listed a large one for $1. AGAIN my meal is incomplete.. I am missing my rice. After calling and explaining my order is missing rice.. it took 5 mins for hr to understand me then passes the phone so I have to explain my story again.. then she says the meal that comes with a free rice... no longer comes with a free rice if I pay for another. Wait... WHAT????!!!! Mind you... I have done this for 7 years. So the meal I paid for came only half of it because I elected to order more?? SO.. of course she says she will "credit me" a dollar?? right.. it worked so well last time for my $14 meal. ...
Read moreI have eaten at this place a few times in the past, since I work in the area. As I was sitting waiting for my order, I noticed a small roach walking past me. Now I understand that this is NYC which is known to have issues with roaches and other rodents, so ignored it. It was also by the door, so I assumed that it came from outside. Fast forward, she brings my food, and I pay for it an leave. As I started to eat it, I noticed something that looked grossly familiar, like the foot of a bug, most likely a roach foot. I immediately stopped eating it, and examined it, showed it to my colleagues, and everyone agreed that I should take it back and that it did look like a roach foot. SMH!!!! When I took it back, she took the container that i had eaten from , and the other one which I had not eaten from, and asked "did you touch this one?", and I replied "no" I am pretty sure she will simply store it somewhere to reserve it to another customer. I also opened that container to check if there were other similar "things" in there...but did not touch the food. I think its odd that she did not argue with me about it, and just agreed to give me a refund. I also thought it was weird that she took the other untouched container and put it away. All i am saying to you guys is to eat there at your own risk!! Just sooo grossed out! Never will I ever eat...
Read moreServed undercooked chicken. And they did not apologize. My office is nearby so I've been visiting this place during lunch time every other week. The food and service was not awesome, but acceptable, at least until today. I ordered a lunch special Ginger Chicken served with White Rice and Tom Yum Soup. After I took a bite, I immediately spat the piece of chicken out of my mouth. It was PINK in the center. I called the waitress over and told her quietly (not wanting to scare anyone around me) that the food was undercooked. She said "Oh" and swiftly took the plate away to the kitchen. Yes, just "Oh". That's all. No sorry. She came back with a supposedly replacement after a while. I expected a new, freshly cooked order but it was not the case. It was the same plate, same pieces of chicken, now cooked, probably thrown back into the wok or the microwave. The rice, which had been sitting on the plate since the beginning, was already cold. The scallions and veges wilted from the extra cooking. There were traces of the food being removed and replaced on the edges of the plate. It was my fault that I didn't ask for the person-in-charge. It caught me off-guard since I have never experienced this. I paid and left, no apology from...
