So it has been over 5 years I've been longing to have my morning breakfast here And so is Murphy law anything that could go wrong will go wrong. I forgot the owner of the restaurant's name but he's a Greek gentleman and I do use the word gentlemen. I never went inside until today. Nonetheless today I decide to sit down and have oatmeal and a big breakfast because I knew it had to carry me for the next 13 hours. I just finished my shift of 18 hours of work and yes I wasn't in the best looking condition I was a little shabby and just had to get some rest but that's no reason why I should have been treated the way I was treated by the waitress. after taking my photos on the outside of this restaurant I have been longing to go to forever and I was approached by a short Latin man. Now my Spanish is okay but I had no idea what in the world he was saying. He did not have a menu in his hand he just approached me and said something I asked him to repeat what he said and he did again and I had no idea what he said. So I assume he was asking me do I want to take out or stay in so I said I want a seat. I sat and for some reason he disappeared towards the back of the restaurant. Mind you a tall black gentleman had came into the restaurant before me and he seemed to have had a day also as he was pretty much in the same attitude as I was we were both a little disheveled. LOL he had taken to seat no menu was given to him. however one would think you would greet someone with a menu when you come into a restaurant that causes you to wait to be seated. It was not crowded exactly five people were there. Looked around the restaurant before having a seat and began taking pictures of the counter and I was then approached by this tall woman, overly plump, with black hair who asked what do I need ?that was her statement to me Talk about professionalism where was it here? Now I can see if she didn't speak English well but she did. Cuz one can interpret what do you need as how can I help you but she spoke English. She looked me up and down as though she was disgusted she then said can I help you? Mind you I'm standing over the table I'm about to sit down at I had pulled the chair to be seated. She then had the audacity to ask me again is there something you need? Now I'm irritated what the heck do you think I need was going on in my mind? So I told her I'm a customer may I have a menu? She then turned from me went and got a menu. I was so disgusted I don't even know if she bought me the menu but one was given to me . Those of you have been reading my reviews you know I have a thing for a clean bathroom. Yes it's been some years since this place has been here and yes some customers are not very nice in keeping the bathrm neat. as you see from the pictures it is a small bathroom with a cute little sink there are stickers on the door people have no respect for people property what a shame. The bathroom was not in the best of condition however I wash my hands came out made my order. My waitress was a lady who brightened up my day her name was Marta. A short beautiful personality woman who took my order told me how she liked the oatmeal that I was about to order and when it came I was delighted. It wasn't as creamy as I wanted to be but then again it didn't make a difference I was hungry and it did have a great texture. Having my fill of the oatmeal I then ordered a western omelette. The western omelet was still warm when it came to me I didn't like the hash browns they were hard scattered with some soft and the green peppers were not chopped up small enough. Nonetheless I enjoyed the omelette. I didn't want to complain because I had just finished the 18-hour shift and my main thing was to get food in me. Towards the end a group poor white people came in and they were immediately greeted with a menu at the door. Now you interpret this the way you wish. Read moreThis will be a long review, however it’s better to be mindful of the scams they play so other people are aware. A lunch order of Salmon with Spinach and Cajun Chicken was placed. The call back number was repeated 3 times. 45 minutes passed and no food. We were told it would take 30 mins. We call the restaurant and they said they called the number three times and no response, so they came back to the restaurant with the order. No bother to recheck their caller ID for the number. The person over the phone wrote down the wrong number, which was why the food was returned. Again, it was repeated slowly 3 times and the person over the phone repeated it back. They send the delivery person back with the order to the delivery location. They said it was a 5 minute wait. Turned out to be a 15 minute wait when we called twice to find out where was the food. On top of them overly charging, once the delivery man came, as he was handing over the order, DEMANDED a tip. He kept asking “no tip? No tip?”. Indeed he did not get a tip especially with being rude for a mistake HE made and didn’t bother to correct. We open the order and there’s no utensils, no napkins, soda in a cup, only 2 ketchups, and no chipotle mayo sauce for the Cajun Chicken so I ate a very dry sandwich. In addition, the salmon was dry when it wasn’t supposed to be. We called back to speak with the manager and explain that the workers need to be more mindful and double check that orders are correct and have everything. He stated that we were right and what would we like for him to do. We said send another sandwich with the condiments. An hour passed and no order. We call the place back and they were stuttering and told us to call back in 30 minutes. THIRTY MINUTES! We call back and they said the order was delivered. We said it was not and they stated it was left with someone downstairs, so we stated we will check downstairs and he said okay check then call me back when we have it. The order was sitting downstairs and no one was told who it belonged to. We asked was there a food delivery and was told yes, but we couldn’t figure out who it was. The food must of been sitting there for an hour because it was cold. I called back the restaurant and spoke with the manager asking why were we not called to say that the food was on the way, so we can wait downstairs. Again, he stated the delivery man did call a new number we gave him three times and no answer. That was NOT TRUE because there wasn’t a missed call and the phone never rang. The manager stated that the delivery worker did call because he was looking at his phone once we asked him to check if the right number was dialed. We went back and forth about no number being dialed. He then asked what would I like for him to do. I said refund. He stuttered to not give it and said we did deliver the food and no one picked up the phone. NEEDLESS TO SAY, this was an hour in a half of aggravation that was very unnecessary and uncalled for. No sympathy. Very bad customer service on their end. And the customer service continues to DECLINE. Please avoid the scam. Save your money. We will not be eating here again and will take our business elsewhere. In addition, we asked for the total and the person on the phone didn’t know the total and told us to hold on, but was quick to ask how are we paying and what was the card number. We were on a brief hold and once returned, we were told one amount and the charge was for a higher amount. Please do not waste your time here. I’ve never been more agitated over a restaurant with a complete LACK of customer service and DOES NOT wish to improve it. Therefore, as I stated above, we will not be eating from here again. You will continue to lose customers if things do not improve and you (manager) do not train your employees to have POSITIVE EXCEPTIONAL customer service. Very very disappointed! Read moreFirst and foremost, we stopped in on a trip from Philadelphia for a quick brunch that ended up being three hours. Now granted it was MLK holiday and Monday, so it was kind of busy however, there’s no excuse for poor service. Our server did not introduce himself when he came to the table. He simply asked us what we wanted. We had to say to him thank you for being a server and what is your name after placing our orders we asked the server to come back in five minutes he never returned so We ended up, drinking nasty tapwater with our meals. The muscles came first the quesadillas came after everything else. Server did not check back on us multiple times, and continue to leave empty plates and dishes stacked on the table. We made attempt to clean our tables ourselves and spilled a cup of hot water in front of the server. The server watch the spill, and then walked away, did not offer assistance or get anything to dry off the table, we had to go over to the server station and get a bucket and rack ourselves to wipe the table down. We then put our dirty dishes on another table because nobody seemed to care that we were eating with piles of dirty dishes in front of us, salmon was bland French toast had no flavor. It was basically bread with syrup on top cheese eggs for the kids. They just put two slices of cheese on top of the eggs didn’t even bother to cook the cheese in. The Marsala Sauce in the chicken Marsala was the nastiest sauce I’ve ever tasted in my life. Rice for mashed potatoes, and somehow still had some rice on the plate along with mashed potatoes. There seems to be a lot of cross contamination going on because there was items that didn’t have any pasta in the meal. We ate because we were hungry. There is a huge language barrier between the staff and its customers, the hostess watch this in agony, the entire time, and spoke to her colleagues in another language, which we believe in Spanish, but did not even attempt to come help. Her coworker resolve the issues at our table. We finally got the manager The Manager didn’t understand our complaints or furthermore, he just didn’t care. He did not seem apologetic. He did not ask us if it was anything that he could do to make us more comfortable. If you weren’t standup people we would’ve just walked out on the check. The Manager seemed annoyed that we complain about meteor service and subpar food. Now we understand why this was the only space with availability when all other restaurants on the block were booked. I feel if I have to clean and bust my own tables and I should also receive a tip for coming in Needless to say, I will never eat here if this was the only restaurant still...
