Pad Thai Noodle Lounge — Restaurant in New York

If I could rate this place a zero for customer service I certainly would. The female that works there has no right to even have a job. The gentleman who works there, I’m assuming is the owner was respectful. When I arrived to the restaurant I wasn’t properly greeted by the female employee. I decided to dine in, placed my order, and she brought my food out. At no time did she stop by to ask any questions if I needed anything, if the food was okay, nothing. So when it was time to pay, she brought my check and I paid my bill. She returned with my change and I took it up. When she noticed I took up my change and wasn’t leaving anything she quickly walked over to explain to me that the bill did not include the tip so I asked her if I am required to leave a tip and she could not answer. She proceeded to ask me how much do I want to leave and I said nothing. She had the nerve to tell me next time don’t dine in, take my food to go. The absolute nerve. I asked her would you do this is you home country? I said you did not do anything that warranted a tip and I paid my bill in full. I said I would never come back here, she proceeds to say don’t come back here. Let me tell you, these people have some nerve speaking to a paying customer like that. I did not beg you anything I paid for my meal which is what I was responsible for. If you cannot make means meet then perhaps you should find another job, but do not try to apply pressure to me to tip you, because I don’t have to. Again like I said the gentleman was decent but that lady should be fired. The nerve. I would never set foot in there again and I’ve had better Thai...

Ok so this review may be more appealing to some people more than others but offers a unique perspective.

I have been a delivery guy for a national on demand delivery platform for over 3 years and have delivered 4000 meals from hundreds of restaurants in NYC.

Tonight was my first time picking up an order at Pad Thai Noodle Lounge. The restaurant was busy and I had to place the order on arrival.

Despite the busy dining room, in the short few minutes I was there I was treated with a warm kindness and genuine interest in me as a person that was above and beyond anything I have experienced in my job. I mean it never happens.

So though I can’t really tell you personally about the food, I will update this review after my next date night. Because it’s number 1 on my list now. Reason being: any place that shows that kind of a warm welcome to me, just the delivery guy, gives me a strong indication that the food and experience will be amazing. That kind of warm “mom and pop style” care in restaurants is in my opinion a rare lost art.

So to the nice lady who boosted my night at work with her kindness. Thank you. And we will see you soon for dinner so I can update this review. Looking...

I ordered a chicken fried rice and upon my arrival to pick up I asked them to put hot sauce in the bag twice and I also made sure to ask after I received my order if there is hot sauce in the bag, the lady lied to me and said she put it . I drove 30 min away to realize there is no hot sauce in my bag. I won’t be enjoy the food I purchased at This establishment the way I wanted to. I will not be returning to get lunch here again. It was a simple request that would have take a few seconds but I was complete lied to as if it didn’t matter. it sucks cause the food isn’t bad but the service is the reason I will not be returning ….also I asked for chicken shrimp dumplings and was told they sell it but I did not receive chicken shrimp dumplings I received dumpling with mushroom, if I had an allergy to mushrooms I would be going to the EMERGENCY ROOM !
