Terrible customer service, BURNT chicken served on Spicy chicken tostada, absolutely unacceptable. In the past this place was great. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with burnt chicken and complained to the manager 2 weeks ago, they reimbursed me for the item. Today 5-11-23 I once again received BURNT to a crisp chicken in my order. The manager had the nerve to ask me to bring back the item so he could refund me as if he needs it back to serve it to someone else. I will never return here again and I suggest you take your patronage somewhere that values their customers. The Manager said the chicken needs to be cooked since it has seasoning. How is BURNT considered cooked? Burnt is OVER COOKED containing carcinogens. I will be returning this dish as requested and moving on to a place that pays attention to detail while...

I visited this restaurant on 2/2/19 . The gentleman at the register was unfriendly. My friend and I decided to dine in although it was cold inside. Realizing the cold air was coming from the bathroom, me The customer pulled the bathroom door. I mentioned it to the gentleman at the register and he said nothing. My tortilla was cold and hard and when I spoke to him he mentioned my complaint to the woman who prepared the food. She was not pleased and rolled her eyes. I had planned on ordering food to go, but changed my mind. I'd like to say thanks to the unpleasant food and bad attitude we found a real Mexican Restaurant around the corner (Rancho Alegre). For years I lived just a block away from Papi's and since we moved I miss it constantly! I'm a vegetarian who sometimes eats fish, and I have never had anything off their menu I didn't love!

Fish tacos, huaraches, nachos, breakfast burrito all incredible! I especially love when they have tamales. Everything is fresh and full of flavor. They also make really good homemade salsas. I have tried several times to replicate the spicy one at home, but still haven't perfected it!
