New female barista with wavy brown short hair and bangs is terrible and needs to be re-trained or fired. I am a loyal customer of at least 4 years and if I see her working I just leave . Once she gave me a latte which felt light in my hand and down the block I realized it was only half full . Literally 2-3 inches were empty in the big cup . I went back and showed her - her answer ? āWe were out of milkā . What ?!? 1) how does a coffee shop run out of normal cows milk and 2) she should have told me she couldnāt make my drink . Another time my latte was barely warm , another time she gave me a cup of foam and called it a cappuccino (had zero milk in it ). I gave up and wonāt patronize this place anymore if she is there . As far as Iām concerned Peckish owes me $30 for all of the nonsense this girl served me after I paid her . She is so bad at making coffee drinks she is defrauding the customers . On top of it she is a mess - if youāre the owner look at the cameras . When others work itās clean , when she works - milk containers , stuff all over the counter - she looks dirty and keeps a dirty counter . I have managed enough restaurants - if I saw my bartender working like her...

The staff is always outgoing and polite (even at 7am) and the coffee, baked goods and lunch items are consistently delicious. I highly recommend the oat milk matcha latte and the apple cider doughnuts as two of my favorites. Thereās a bathroom and ample seating, so Peckish is also a great place to meet and discuss projects and/or read a script and write in oneās journal.
Lastly, they also sell the locally-made dog biscuits and even have an area outside for dogs, complete with a water bowl and bench seating for use during warmer months.
The neighborhood is better because of places like Peckish, where you can feel the peace and tranquility of a small town in...

I stopped by every Sunday morning before my baby's music class, lined up with a few other people with babies and/or dogs. It's got that family neighborhood vibe which is so nice! In that sense, it's not a destination spot but rather a great option in the area. 4 out of 5 on service, only once was there an unfriendly person.
There are a few interesting lattes (the golden turmeric has a kick!), and the iced coffee is strong. Definitely try the cornmeal biscuit with jam and butter, because butter makes everything better!
The wait is often 5-10 min, so plan on that! It's a lovely stroll with your fresh coffee and pastry to Ft. Greene...
