So this business was charging 2.25 and still on his online menu , but when you walk in ,than will get hammered with almost 4.94. Flagella/bagel with butter 4.94. Bagel taste great... But was the most expensive bagel with butter in my life.. For food establishments are making it impossible for the consumers to create daily business relations . This is not about amount of almost 5 bucks, but why excessive charges. There is no reasons for hiking prices to this level for products ( business pays 5% more on inflation (products) , so now they want to pass / charge 100% under inflation's ).

Consistently reliable bagel shop, with friendly, courteous service and clean premises. Post Reno, this place is awesome, I don't have to get on my tiptoes to order over a tall counter. These guys will ask important detailed Qs on your order to get your order right! Even asked if he wanted us to rewarm our coffee to hit since we asked for extra cream, never heard of this anywhere I've been at a busy shop. Great variety of a bagel shop, and very fresh. My neighborhood go to staple!

It's okay --- neither upscale nor dirty but certainly not a place you're going to want to really stay in and eat. But we've had our order messed up and were surpised that this is the first deli we've ever been to that charges extra for jelly packets -- seriously 50c. Nickle and dimes too much. We're not going here anymore. There is Le Pain Quotidien two doors down that is much more our speed.

DO NOT RECOMMEND

Pick A Bagel has been my go-to for years due to its convenient proximity to the 6 (it's right next store). Their bagels are typical for NYC - there are better places to go, but if you are a tourist, then these will fit your needs just fine. They have a multitude of excellent spreads to complement their bagels, leading to delicious breakfasts for those who are on their commutes, or simply want a classic bagel as they peruse Museum Mile.

That being said, their prices are absolutely exorbitant, inconsistent, and lack transparency. If you buy a bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese, you may pay $6.00, or you may pay $10.50, depending on who is behind the register. Pay attention to the fact that they clearly add arbitrary tips to your order. If this activity continues, they will most likely be reported to the BBB.

This is effectively a chain breakfast bodega charging boutique, niche prices. Aside from their bagels and spreads, all other ingredients are at the level of Dunkin Donuts (the chain restaurant effect). If you aren't getting a bagel, I would suggest going across the street for a better deal.

NOTE: If you can afford to pay over $10.00 for an average breakfast sandwich each morning, then do not let this review dissuade you. However if you are interested in finding a classic NYC breakfast joint, then there are so many others I would recommend, if less conveniently located. It is sad to see this place fall to the perils of price gouging as many other shops do, and I really hope they work to...

This place just served me the most vile $14 chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Like monumentally bad. Lowkey deserves and award for being so bad. Tasted kinda like sewer water and burnt bread. I was starving real bad so I did eat half of it, except for the parts of it that were hard as a rock and I would have needed a dentist appointment if I attempted to bite any harder. As a matter of fact I was today years old when I learned grilled chicken could possibly be hard enough to shatter a window. Not sure if it was just old or my guy cooked it too long in the microwave. Needless to say I’m still hungry, probably going to have diharrea later and I’ve got a taste so nasty in my mouth I’ll tell my grandchildren about it one day. They should make a vaccine for the chicken sandwich I just ate from this place....

I came here on a rainy day when no one else was placing an order. Yet somehow, I walked out with the completely wrong order. I imagine the order I received was intended for a seamless customer, as I did see my correct bagel being made. Very disappointing, they were so slow it never crossed my mind to think to check my order prior to leaving. I was in a rush and unfortunately could not come back to have them fix the order. Additionally, I had paid extra for toppings I clearly didnt receive.

On top of that, both bagels were carelessly made with the cream cheese barely spread. If this is how they perform on a slow rainy day, I cant imagine what it is like when they're busy. The staff was...
