Before I booked a 60 minute couples massage through group on I called the establishment to verify if they were open and to make sure they had availability for the same day. The guy on the phone replied “Yes, you can come anytime.” My partner and I found his response strange because when booking a massage with other spas the establishment ALWAYS books us for a specific time and takes down my information. Even still, we proceeded to book the group on because the reviews seemed pretty decent. On our way to the spa, I called the establishment again to let the guy know we would be there at 5:30pm, I asked him if he needed my information and his response was “No, I see your phone number.” Again, we found it weird but we still decided to go. Upon arriving at 5:25pm, the lady who works there says they will finish their current session by 5:50pm. We decided to wait. It was then 6:10pm and they still weren’t available for our “5:30pm” appointment. Extremely upsetting and unprofessional. Id rather spend my money elsewhere. There are a million spas in NYC who would be delighted to book an appointment for you and be ready for you when you arrive. 0...

So I had an appt today for a massage because my back had been killing me. Around 11am I was in contact with this spa and asked for someone strong and the person I'll call them C told me they do strong and to text them later on when I come. I text C and we agreed on 6:30pm. They said they will give me the massage and it will be strong. When I get there, a lady small in stature comes to my area to give me a massage. I was still hopeful because you never know. But as I thought, the massage was not strong AT ALL. Then, in order to communicate me and another customer in another room had to shout out loud so that the guy in the reception area could translate to them what we were saying. Very odd and not relaxing. I ended the massage early(I booked an hr but ended up doing 30 mins). This is a way long, long overdue review. I have been going to Sally for about 3 years now because she gives the BEST deep tissue massages. I am specifically writing her a review today because I woke up with a little bit of shoulder/ neck muscle tension and discomfort, so I traveled from Queens and I’m leaving feeling so relieved. She positions me in different ways to target some muscles differently and uses enough pressure to feel every single knot. I feel so much better and if you want a real deep tissue massage, you need to check her out! The place is small, but that has never been an issue for me. I rather support a local business with great service (enough for me to travel far for them) than a high end place with mediocre massages.
