I overheard someone mention this place and decided to give it a try. I wish I hadn't. From the moment we walked in it was clear that customer service is not a priority.
No host or dedicated person managing the front door. Stood waiting with for a bit and had to walk through restaurant to track someone down. Definitely a theme here. Someone at bar should at the very least let people who are standing there waiting that someone will be with them shortly. Didn't happen.
After being seated - no water is brought to the table...at all. You have to ask for water and then NO ONE comes around to refill?? You have to track someone down.
Specifically came in to try to pretzel and of course no pretzel? ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON really. Would think you would have enough supplies for the weekend. Huge disappointment.
Food presentation was horrible - looked like school lunch thrown on a dish that mind you had soap stains. When asked for another dish - it never came. AND also again no water.
Everything we ordered was equivalent to school lunch. Plain burger on bun with cheese - No lettuce, tomato nothing. Wish I had taken photos. Salads come with no dressing on them?? Never seen this before and if you no dressing WHY would you not offer or ask what type a dressing would you like??- it was very confusing. Has never happened anywhere I've gone.
Wings were not crispy and you could taste the soft skin - gross. the 3 pieces and I mean 3 pieces of celery looked as if it was peeled away from the celery stalk and thrown on the dish. The fries were cold and only a few were on the dish. It was not a serving of fries. It was more like a pinch.
They were understaffed, made us feel rushed, never brought napkins, never refilled water (which we had to chase them down for), did not have pretzel??, had to chase down someone for a plate which never came even though we asked twice and food above all was extremely sub-par at best.
Food presentation is definitely not the same as the instagram photos so beware. Overall very disappointed. It was a waste of my money and my time. If you want food that resembles lunch room or cafeteria food than this is the place for you.
Note to owners: Invest in your staff, hire a dedicated host and pay attention to customer service it...
Read moreWe've been coming to Pipins since they were at their old location. But the staff is the same and friendly as always and food is great. Now, as a reviewer I will admit I'm a bit limited here as when my mom and I go we get the same thing: Potato Skins - THE BOMB! LOVE THESE SO MUCH! French Onion Soup - It's fine, it could be better but it's not bad. I enjoy it and keep getting it after all. Ribs - Oh Lord!!! Eat these and go to Heaven. Bon appetit my friends! Full rack, split it with a person and enjoy the mashed potatoes and salad with it! So damn good. Drinks - if you're in the mood for a certain kind of drink, the waiters/waitresses will set you up with what you're looking for and you will like it.
Every time I go I think today I'll try the burgers because I always see everyone else order this but then I realize... The above is my happy place so I'm sharing it...
Read moreThis place got really good reviews, so I’m thinking it was an off night.
We ordered takeout:
Two hamburgers: one with cheddar cheese and sautéed onions with fries, and the other blue cheese with sweet potato fries and a side of onion rings. Both fries and onion rings were poorly cooked. The oil temperature seemed inadequate to provide the desired crispy texture to the fries and onion rings; instead, they turned out greasy and practically inedible. The burger had a funny taste and the blue cheese looked like a glob slapped on as well, maybe fried in seed oil (known for being unhealthy and challenging to digest), added to the overall disappointment of the meal. In conclusion, my dining experience left me feeling disheartened and underwhelmed. Based on this encounter, I cannot claim to be a fan of this establishment and have reservations about returning...
