Pizza Emporium — Restaurant in New York

After placing an order through the Slice app the night before delivery and upon getting updates on my phone about order accepted, to food being prepared, to delivery statue, I waited 45 minutes longer then the eta stated, only to have to call the restaurant to find out my order was rejected. The man who answered rudely stated that they do not deliver to our area and advised Slice app about it. What made me upset is that I had placed an order through the Slice app not more than two months prior to get food from Pizza Emporium I feel that if they had dropped the Slice app for their delivery option, they should’ve notified me upon placing in the order and reject it right away. Slice app advised me that Pizza Emporium didn’t want to deliver to my address with no other explanation and I was once advised that when I had called Pizza Emporium directly, they told me that they do not deliver to my area because I am too far. It is not the Slice app fault, they are just the delivery service hired by the restaurant that rejected my order due to non-delivery in my area so they say. Although I like their food, I will not order from Pizza Emporium again due to their inconsideration in advising their customers in a timely fashion that they will not be getting their food. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮Food okay. Main concern is cleanliness. People up front touch everything with bare hands. And I mean everything: cash from customers, hands of customers, registers, and they even took a customer's phone for Apple pay. He would also scratch head and wipe sweat since it can get pretty hot with the ovens on. All of this barehanded, and not washing/sanitizing in between. And after touching all of this stuff, they touch the food barehanded as well, both before and AFTER it comes out of oven, if it goes in there. Food that's ready, they just grab with bare hands and put on plate to serve. Also had to wait a long time. I understand food at restaurants may run out and more has to be made, but some food I feel should always be ready, or at least make a lot of. In this case, it was plain pizza. Shouldn't have to wait 25 min for a few plain slices at...

During this Covid 19 Pandemic, We’ve depended on their Food & Delivery Service....& I will recommend them for Any time!... Delicious Mini Fresh Mozzarella Pizza, Stromboli, Fried Zucchini Sticks, Baked Ziti & Baked Lasagne, etc....Yum!!! & I’m sure some of their other dishes are just as Good! Btw.... their Customer Service is Friendly & Very Empathetic to what’s happening now...(We’re up there in age & supermarket shopping as often as we did is not in Our Realm lately)....Sooo They’ve been Heaven Sent & Our Heroes!!!
