I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive, treated me like family from the moment I arrived til the moment I left. The food was fresh and delicious, the portion sizes are huge and the pricing is reasonable. For an appetizer I ordered the Ricotta, walnut, and cranberry stuffed zucchini flowers with a red sauce. It had a mild sweetness from the cranberries, with a nice crunch from the walnuts and when paired with the sauce it was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. I would definitely order this again, and again if I lived closer. And for my main course I ordered the Ravioli alla Aragosta - Fresh ravioli stuffed with lobster meat in a light cream sauce. This was a perfectly balanced meal, it was sweet, it was savory, it melted in your mouth, and none of the flavors overpowered the others, instead they complemented each other with every bite. The experience was definitely a 10/10. Next time I'm in New York...

Ambiance: Provides the small authentic feel sorely lacking in big box chain restaurants.
Service: First class. Fast, friendly, and accommodating.
Food: Calamari Fritti - Fairly standard, I wouldn't normally order it, but my friend is a bit OCD about always ordering it at Italian restaurants.
Split Pea Soup - This was a special and isn't normally on the menu. Delicious, but for $11 only worth it if you love split pea soup.
Tortelloni Panna E Piselli - My entree, which was delicious. Pasta, peas, and prosciutto in a light cream sauce. I need prosciutto to be like this for the rest of my life.
I sampled my friend's meals; pappardelle in bolognese with meatballs (custom order), and pork shank osso bucco over mashed potatoes (special). Both were excellent.
Price: Not inexpensive, but reasonable for the quality of the food and...
Read moreWe were in the city celebrating our anniversary. Made a reservation 3 months prior for 5:30 on a Friday night in July. We had tickets to see a concert at the Beacon Theater. It was a 10 minute walk between the theater and the restaurant. Place was intimate and surprisingly not busy. However, more people were seated as time progressed. We ordered the mozzarella e zucchine fritte; 3 large pieces of each. They were light, airy and crunchy. Not greasy. Would have liked a little more pomodoro sauce. We ordered the spaghetti polpette and the lamb shank special. The pasta was freshly made with 3 nice size meatballs, several slices of sausage and ricotta cheese. The lamb shank was a large bone with plenty of meat on it. It was served with seasonal vegetables. Thr dishes were well presented. We enjoyed our meal very much. There was plenty of food that we skipped dessert. :( Would eat there again the next time we're...
