One of the worst Popeyes you'll find in Harlem. Besides it being a vagrant hangout, the staff is terrible. I LOVE Popeyes and will continue to give them patronage anywhere. Unfortunately this location is the only one omw to work, so i'm forced top suffer through the experience. The cashiers most seem to be Bangladeshi or from somewhere else in Southeast Asia. I have no problem with their origins, just their attitudes. It seems like YOU are the odd man out because THEY dont have the most BASIC understanding of English. How do you hire people to be cashiers and they barely understand English? Regardless of how calm you remain or how slow you speak, they constantly mess up your order - then balk when you request it changed because they dont want to notify their boss that they made a mistake. A boss that enables them to do a poor job in the first place! I have tried to complain to mngmt, write Popeyes corporate and nothing happens. The GM of this location wants these under-performing team members there for some reason. Avoid thsi location...
Read moreI don't leave bad reviews often, but Popeyes has officially earned it. The quality of the food has gone down in recent years and as of today, I was told that even with a large fry, I cannot have any ranch without paying more. Popeyes is going to lose even more business with this update. I mean, it's sauce. The way they guard it like it comes out of their paycheck directly clearly speaks to leadership intimidating the workers, and is a beyond ridiculous new rule. Any Popeyes outside of the city will give you 1 or even 2 sauces when asked, and this one will give you none. Especially after all of the lost business from being closed for months? I'm good on ever eating here again. I almost didn't today and thought, eh why not. Well this is why not. Over priced for mediocre fries and we waited 12 minutes for a strawberry biscuit that was burnt when we finally got it. Do yourselves a favor and go to Jimbo's that's only 1 block away on Lexington and 124th, the food is better and the employees actually care about you enjoying your meal...
Read moreThere is always an issue at this Popeye's restaurant. The last time I was here, there were panhandlers asking for money while I was on line about to place my order. This time: The woman (manager?) with glasses and the strong accent was very rude and she doesn't wear gloves. She was at the register and handling food. I was there for less than 15 minutes today and she touched several people's food orders without gloves. When one customer pointed it out and asked her NOT to handle her food because she did not have gloves, the woman just ignored her and touched the replacement box with her gloveless hands. Gross. She didnt handle my sandwiches, otherwise, I would not have taken them. Those chicken sandwiches were delicious. They have a security guard now, so maybe why I did not see any panhandlers disturbing customers this time. ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE LEAVING. THEY TEND TO GET ORDER ITEMS MIXED UP HERE.
I will update this post...
