A catering disaster!! Sadly this is my 2nd time having a horrible outcome with their catering delivery service. I thought the change in ownership/ management would make the difference but clearly doesn't. The food was not properly packaged in tightly sealed pans and because heavy items were stacked on top of each other the pans collapsed and all sauce and food spilled out. The food spill leaked all over the flimsy used box and I wound up cleaning the halls and floors and throwing the food out. I also noticed the food was refrigerator cold - WHO DELIVERS COLD FOOD FOR CATERING (cabbage, yams, rice & peas and codfish) these items should've been hot ready to serve. The photo shows the mess they delivered to my door and expected me to serve. The cabbage was raw like coleslaw - not cooked or steamed at all and the yams were also undercooked (still hard) and wouldn't have been edible regardless. So much for thanksgiving dinner... They lack professionalism and offer very poor customer service. I've dined here many times over the years and always regretted giving in to my position to never return. I've tried to forgive their poorly run business over the years: not operating during posted hours; not serving the correct order items; ridiculously small portions; inconsistent and undercooked food, always cutting corners... I eventually gave up bc it was clear sisters couldn't get it together. But when both sisters exited the business I thought things would improve - but they are worse now. To package a catering order the way they did- not taking any effort to properly secure the food was simply incompetent and unacceptable. They cannot cater point blank bc they dont know what they're doing and don't care to get it right.

I first came across this restaurant’s food at an event I attended. A few of their dishes was a part of the catering. Their food was absolutely delicious I had the yams, fried whitening fish, and collard greens. Let me warn you if their collard greens were SPICY. I don’t do spices. Even many of the people who love spices also stated it was to spicy. I was in the area and decided to order for lunch. I visited the restaurant in October 2023. I placed my order online so it could be ready for pick up when I arrived. I was disappointed to learn the fried whiting fish is only available through their catering menu. I decided to order the stewed chicken, coconut peas and rice, steamed cabbage, yams, macaroni & cheese, cornbread, and lemonade. When I arrived to the restaurant, I noticed it’s not a sit-down restaurant. Seems like you pick up and go. I was greeted by staff told them I was picking up and they let me know my order was ready. I was so eager to dig into my food. I was expecting the Caribbean flavors and was let down and disappointed in my meal. I even shared with my coworker for her opinion. The best thing out of everything I ordered was the yams and lemonade. The chicken was bland and had no flavor. The peas and rice was okay. The cabbage wasn’t cooked and still too crunchy again no seasoning/flavor. The macaroni and cheese wasn’t good. The cornbread was okay, it has pineapple in it. I don’t think I’ll return and if I do it’ll only be for the yams and lemonade. This didn’t taste anything like Caribbean cuisine. The portion of the food was also really small. My total was about $36.00. This location is accessible via public transportation.

Horrible experience. Don't even write Instructions if your getting it delivered because they don't listen. I ordered oxtails with white rice and collard greens with a side of sweet potatoes and mac and cheese. I asked them to separate the Mac and yams because I didn't want them touching the meat. They ignored that and smashed everything together in one small container. More than half the container was soggy rice and collard greens. The collard greens were WAY too spicy to eat! Who makes spicy collard greens?? They gave me less then a full table spoon of yams for 5$ smh same with the Mac. At least the Mac and oxtail and sweet potatoes were good but the collard greens ruined the taste of everything because everything was smashed together. I had to scrap it out of my yams.. I'm just so disappointed to have spent over 30$ smh.

At this point they owe me some stars! This is by far the worst Caribbean restaurant I've ever had. Almost $100 for 3 orders of pure garbage! I'm convinced that the good reviews were written by their associates. The food looked good and if I could get full off of looking at food awesome but I can't.

The Oxtails; I've never seen oxtails this small. I received 5 pieces and only 1 had a small amount of meat on it, the rest was just fat and bones. They smelled like ketchup, taste like sugar and Thyme.

The peas and rice taste like they only added coconut milk and nothing else.

The steam cabbage with carrots taste like sour water

Had we enjoyed the food I still wouldn't return. Almost $100 for 3 orders of food, at any other restaurant the portion would've been considered a small. It's not a coincidence that both orders of oxtails was all bone and fat. All 3 orders went into the trash. I see they mentioned being a small black owned business which I would love to support however, you can't rob the community that you expect to support you.

I'm glad to see you pay attention to your feedback. What I find unfortunate is the lack of accountability in your end. Every day will not be a win. Had your response to my review mentioned you may have missed the mark with my order, I would have given it another try thinking I caught you on a bad day. However, you're choosing to deny all negative reviews as though it is impossible to have an off day.

The lack of accountability and disregard for my experience just leads me to believe this is not the place for me, my family and my referrals.

I too, am in the customer service field by way of hospitality- accountability goes a long way. Run your business how you see fit, I don't see the need to return or refer the guest from my business.

Enjoy your day, no love lost wish your business a better...

RanDe of Sisters Caribbean Cuisine catered our May 2021 150-person wedding reception, and it was the best decision we ever made. When my finance and I sat down to plan our wedding, we knew it was nonnegotiable that we had traditional, authentic Caribbean food (oxtail/stew chicken/curry goat) as both of our families are from Caribbean countries. We did not want food that looked good but lacked flavor and the seasonings to which we were accustomed.

We spoke to and met with multiple Caribbean caterers, some were out of our budget, and some did not think we could pull off our vision of having a sit-down dinner (vs. buffet style) for such a large group. By the time we came across Sisters Caribbean Cuisine we were only weeks away from the wedding. From our first conversation with RanDe, we knew we were in good hands. RanDe prepared a wide variety of dishes for our tasting, and we loved every single dish, down to the sides (callaloo, coconut rice & peas to name a few).

He worked with us and our planner to finalize every dish for our cocktail hour and dinner and even customized some dishes based on our requests (curry chicken roti rolls!). Our guests were pleasantly surprised with our cocktail hour selections, especially the codfish fritters. The sit-down dinner was everything we hoped it would be, what any West Indian would imagine a Sunday dinner to be. The flavors were spot on, spicy but not too spicy for those trying the dishes for the first time. Knowing what a blur the day would be for us, RanDe and his team made sure our leftovers were packed with care and made sure our to-go plates contained a little bit of everything.

Our guests raved about the food for weeks after the wedding. We would recommend RanDe and Sisters Caribbean Cuisine to anyone looking for an experienced, friendly, and reliable...
