I've been going for the buffet bar for over a year. Usually my stomach is very sensitive to pre-prepared foods, so I normally stay clear of buffets, but their buffet looked so fresh and appetizing I couldn't help myself. Veggies are grilled or cooked perfectly, remaining crisp or with their natural vibrant colors. (I can't stand over cooked, drab and mushy veggies). Meats and seafood are moist and flavorful without being over seasoned. There are usually a few dishes with an Asian twist on rotation, like Korean style glass noodles with water spinach and sesame seeds or tofu stuffed with bell peppers and scallions, dumplings etc. Otherwise the mainstays of basa fish and salmon are my faves. Lots to choose from, hot or cold; always fresh ingredients, expertly prepared and enticingly presented. Hats off to the chef. It's great that the buffet draws a crowd too, so food never sits out for very long.
I'm surprised about the negative comments regarding the workers. I've never encountered rudeness. It's true that the cashier doesn't smile or chit chat, but she's efficient and keeps the line moving. The gentleman manning the bar is super attentive and clean. I've seen him be very sweet to the elderly and repeat customers.
There are a handful of sit down tables and high chairs along the wall counter for eat ins. Even during their busiest lunch hour, I've never had to wait more than a few seconds for a spot.
As for price, well- you get what you pay for. If you want cheaper, there are other options around. You won't find a better value though. I think it's worth an extra buck or two to feed myself a beautiful nutritious meal in the...
Read moreAs I write this I could not be more irritated. I stop by Q & N relatively often as it's one of the only places near my job that is not fast food. The buffet and even their lunch menu is decent. They are a bit over priced, but again being that they're one of a handful of quality food service in the area, I'll pay it.
What DOES piss me off however, is their morning service. I understand it's a busy time, but if this is a store that supposedly offers "QUALITY", why is it such a problem to get my order right?! When I first started going to the restaurant, I would order a breakfast wrap. They messed it up so many times (and made me PAY for THEIR mistakes), that I simplified my order to a simple bagel with butter and even THAT they messed up this morning by handing me a bagel with butter and JELLY. How did you hear JELLY?! They try their best to avoid having to redo any of their mistakes. While I understand that everyone is human, and everyone has their off days, and the breakfast hours are busy, I am NOT okay with the fact that my order is clearly not listened to, and given to me with no apologies or cares. I'm fed up with the service, and will try my best to avoid that place...
Read moreWalked in to get an egg and cheese sandwich and waited for five literal minutes while the two guys behind the counter did whatever they were doing, but couldn't be bothered to take the order of the person in front of me in line.
So I lost all hope and left.
Hello? How about turning around and/or looking up from what you're doing? Because, you know... CUSTOMERS.
Maybe these guys were the d-string crew, but that's my experience with this place, and I'm...
