😞😔 I can't find it in my heart and I'm struggling🤔 here. Here goes nothing .

it's Labor Day weekend it's not cool to do this to customers, at all yesterday Labor Day weekend Head start we had a foodie adventure together towards St Mark's place the last stop for dessert was raised candy shop. I wanted to love this place a native New Yorker and Brooklyn resident I was very disappointed. with this candy shop I don't know if it's Ray's wife or his sister but she was very rude to me you don't lie to your customers that's number one number two the customer is key to success so here goes nothing I order an egg cream my girlfriend orders deep fried Oreos, Ray's wife or sister tells us over the counter "she doesn't she make it at this time but she'll make it fried Oreos us my girlfriend was waiting She is the only one behind the counter no extra help nobody 🙇 what's wrong with this picture as we were waiting more customers started coming in we waited for 10-15 minutes we figured it out it was a lie these people just wanted your money they don't care about the customer we were waiting for 10 minutes I felt like she was muscling us but it also I felt it was a little bit of prejudice there too this is not the place to bring your family member or girlfriend and I actually felt embarrassed it felt embarrassing it was a very sad place I was I was very sad.

New York Brooklyn Stick to what you know feel it out first feel the vibe do not recommend anything yet to anyone always research and always look up restaurants or dessert places before you get there experiment yourself before you become embarrassed never ever ever recommend it until you know officially that it's the right place to go in my opinion whenever you see this place on the street please walk by it don't even walk in and get an ice cream or an egg cream it's not even worth the $5 or 20 bucks to get in there this is not a recommended place and for that guy to say it cheap eats now don't listen to him he's wrong thank...

If you don’t like Ray’s then your inner child must totally be dead. Or you just need to return to your spaceship, yacht or country club. 😇

I first came to Ray’s one drunken night - probably on my way back home from Piano’s in the LES - when I was finally ready to daringly try and order their fried bignets.

Sure enough I had Ray himself serving me and was like why had I not come here before, despite the many times I had walked by the tiny fluorescent lit place.

Since then I’ve enjoyed the onion rings one crazy late night (and I’m picky about onion rings). And I’ve gone during the day for the soft serve ice cream.

I still can’t wait for the day I finally try fried Oreos , which I’ve never had anywhere before. And I’d love to give the chili dog a try.

In fact I want to try everything on the menu but I do have some self control and at the end of the day i don’t have nearly enough out of town friends visiting to warrant enough late night visits. But this is definitely a great spot to bring such friends or family members when just about everything else is closed or closing.

And after writing this post I’m definitely soon going back for more enjoyment of the bignets, which you’ll love if you like “elephant ear” or funnel cake at state fairs or carnivals.

One of the great things about Rays besides the nice people who help run it and Ray’s attempt to keep prices affordable for everyone is that you’re pretty much always guaranteed to get your food freshly made.

Last but not least thank god Ray’s is still around. And don’t take him or the place for...

Ok so let’s see where to begin.... Everyone loves fried Oreos but you wana make sure where ever your eating from you feel safe to do so. I had heard a friend say oh there’s a place in the LES that sells fried Oreos, twinkies. So we went and upon the GPS saying location was a few feet away. I was looking for an inviting store front and sure enough it was inviting. I wasn’t sure if it was a barber shop or 1of the last bodegas in NYC. Anyways it was smal ful paper with all over the walls omg paper everywhere. It’s very very old and looking around it didn’t matter if there was an A! I was disgusted that place is of poor condition not sure why if customers come from all over, or you have dedicated customers for years why would you not give back to them! Fix the place up! How cheap could you be! That’s very sad that shows your riding it out till the wheels fall off! Sad cause businesses like this are amazing and hard to find in the city. Are there no family members to carry on the business that’ll appreciate what goldmine this is! I’m sorry when you don’t care bout your customers you definitely don’t care bout the food you serving, you just want the money! Fix...
