DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE A YOUNG WOMAN. Two of my friends and I went here at around 2am on 9/28/24. There was a man leaning on a white van right outside of the building watching us. We ordered our food and sat in the indoor seating area. It was just us three in the seating area. My friends went outside for a moment and said the man with the van walked around the corner to stare at them. While they were gone, the two older Hispanic men that served us (it was only them working) took two big metal carts and blocked us into the indoor seating area. When my friends came back and we were eating, the man with the van came inside and was talking to the workers while staring and pointing at us. Once we noticed something weird was happening, we got up to leave, and the workers immediately got defensive. “Why are you leaving? Where are you going? Don’t leave, stay,” etc. I have never felt so unsafe in my life and I wonder what would have happened if we had...
Read moreWe came during one of those "oh wow, glad we got here when we did" moments. We walked right in and were served right away. Those following us didn't really have the fast-paced service as we did though. It became very busy very fast.
We stayed in a hotel near Time Square and wanted to treat friends from out-of-town to some quick New York pizza. I know it may not be 100% authentic New York pizza but it did the job. I ordered a BBQ chicken slice and plain cheese slice which didn't disappoint. The crust was pretty burnt but no big deal. We still enjoyed it. The portions are huge and filling!
We went in for just a quick bite to eat and that's what we got. We sat at the bar, wolfed down the slices, and were back on the streets. The staff at Ray's was fantastic and friendly. If we ever have the opportunity to swing by again when it's not busy, we definitely will. Thank you Ray's for...
Read moreThis place must have great pizza. My daughter was visiting NYC from DC last Friday night and her friends insisted on going to Ray’s for pizza after 2 AM. The best! BUT, when they were leaving a cute, medium sized dog, wearing a black vest was tied up just outside the door. When they reached down to pet it, which my daughter knew not to do, the dog jumped up and bit her in the face. She left without finding the dog’s owner. She does not hold the dog responsible at all. We are dog people. However, after having 22 stitches, we want the owners to know what happened and be aware, in case the next person the dog bites is a small child. I hate to post this here, since it actually has nothing to with Ray’s, but maybe the owners will see this. And, issue a heads up, not to pet...
