First time visiting this happy hour was highly impressed came on a friday 5pm restaurant was packed but it was easy to get a table for 2! Although it was cramped next to the other tables which is a hassle when you have to use the restroom but I’ve got to say it was pretty worth it! One of the best wings I’ve had so far flavorful and super crunchy! ordered the calamari which came with this sweet chili sauce it could’ve been more crispy didn’t really enjoy probably wouldn’t order it again. Klong also has happy hour on Weekdays monday-thursday 12pm-10pm and friday 12pm-8pm which is GREAT! We had $3 wine and $3 lychee mimosas also margaritas and mojitos were $3 as well. Overall good experience! Can’t wait to explore the rest of the menu! UPDATE !!! Food was amazing, Super fast service! Didn't have to wait no more than 5 mins for a table (its a Monday evening) pick and choose your days wisely! We ordered Klongs chicken wings, Vegetable dumplings, Garlic sauce with chicken, and a Noodle Dish Call Kee Mao Big enough portions where my friends and I were able to pick off one another's plate! Vegetable Dumplings could've used a dipping sauce! Plates were cleaned! Also would like to point out how many flavors are available for mojitos, margs and mimosas! Pricing wise is definitely affordable for 2 entrees 3 appetizers and 3 drinks totaled up to $82 which is a steal to me! Definitely a hidden gem happy hour! Will be spreading the word !

Klong has been a longtime favorite of mine since I went to college at NYU. I absolutely love their Pad See Euw, and they have a great selection of appetizers—you really can’t go wrong with any of them. I always recommend their lunch specials since it’s a great price for an entrée, a soup or salad, and an appetizer from a selected list. Even if you go for dinner, the portions are generous enough that you’ll probably get full and want to save leftovers for later. It’s a popular spot, so you’ll likely find it packed in the evenings, which makes for a lively atmosphere to catch up with friends over a couple of drinks. You can get a pitcher of sangria for $25, a mojito for $35, and a Phuket for $35. If you go for a single glass or even a beer, the prices are still pretty affordable. Their menu and prices are listed on their website, which is super convenient. The staff are always quick to take orders and bring out food, even when the place is slammed, so I want to give them a big shout-out for their hospitality. Thanks so much, Klong staff—I can’t wait to come back and introduce more friends to this restaurant!

We stayed in a private room at Klong House. Lovely room on the canal - good size with AC. Bathrooms clean with shower gel (ideal for backpackers). What made Klong House stand out though is the warm and friendly hosts - Parn welcomed us personally even though our flight was delayed and we arrived in the early hours. She always gave amazing recommendations and was genuinely keen to do everything to make our stay special. Breakfast was also so nice - on the last day a takeaway breakfast was even made for us. We also had some laundry done and it was returned clean and folded within a couple of hours. Amazing! Finally location is great - walking distance from key sites and boat stop. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Can’t recommend Klong House enough and will be staying again next time I’m in Bangkok. Thank you!

Longtime favorite turned into a very mediocre quality place with extremely road staff, I think the management has changed. Also biggest pet peeve is sneaking in a gratuity charge without letting the customer know and then expecting a tip on top of that. 18% added for a party of two people? Ridiculous. This used to be my favorite place in the city, and I would truly recommend it to all my friends and bring a lot of people here to eat, but I went this week after a long gap, and was super disappointed at how the quality of food and service has changed. We ordered a bunch of appetizers, and they tasted ok but our main courses were really poorly executed, with no flavor at all, which was quite surprising in Thai food. The curry, which used to be quite creamy, was super watery this time, and it almost seemed like they were just adding water to leftover paste. When we pointed that out, we got quite a bit of attitude for changing out our dishes, or making the necessary adjustments. At the end of our meal, (we were only three people), our check came and seemed not in line with the charges, and then we took a closer look, they had added an 18% gratuity automatically to the check without letting us know. When we pointed that out, they gave us a little bit of a tough time and rolled their eyes when we said we would like to leave a manual tip instead. One of the managers or waitstaff, then proceeded to give us a long lecture on how if we don’t want to leave a tip we should just ask for takeout the next time and not sit in the restaurant lol. These kind of shady practices of trying to steal money from customers in the way of a tip is really putting off, we left a decent tip in any case, but we would like to know what we’re leaving and it should be our decision and not the restaurants. My friend forgot her bag as we left the restaurant, and remembered not a minute later and ran in, but instead of any of the wait staff coming out w it, they had taken it in the back, and kept it ‘aside’ apparently! They could see us standing outside lol I’m afraid I’m just going to let the nostalgia of what the food and quality and service used to be stay in my mind and...

Walked in on December 12 around 8 pm with my boyfriend and asked for 2 seats, but the host said they only had one table outside underneath the stairs in the corner. We asked about the three open tables that weren’t in such a sad tiny corner, and the host said, “those are only for 3 or 4 people.” That’s reasonable, so while he watched us go take a second look for an open table outside, he sat one two-person couple outside. We walked in to wait, and he said, “you’re gonna need to wait outside.” Then in front of us he told another couple, “we have a spot open inside” and sat them inside

We were annoyed he skipped us twice, so we reminded him we had been waiting longer than those couples/ He said, “Well you never told me you wanted to sit inside.” We said, “You never asked us or told us there were available seats inside.” All hosts ask inside or outside, so I don't know why that was confusing to him. He clearly didn’t like us reminding him and he quickly said, “Actually we aren’t going to have any more seats for 2 people open tonight. We close at 9.”

Obviously, this was a lie, and we had no idea why we were being treated like that (other than we were gay). Right by them Bull McCabes staff are much nicer, don’t throw a tantrum when someone asks to sit in a more comfortable spot, and has nicer seating. We walked back and saw those same seats that were supposedly “only for 3 or 4 people” had couples sitting at each one. If their okay with lying to customers about multiple things and hiring rude (questionably homophobic) staff then I don’t think we will...
