Iâd been here before in the past and it had been excellent, but I unfortunately had a bad experience yesterday here with friends. When my friend ordered, she didnât have a great experience with the staff, and I also saw them being overtly rude to another man that had forgotten to wear his mask, which should have warranted a curt warning instead of a scene and ironically, one of the staff members took down their mask to call someoneâs name later anyway. After ordering our $77 worth of pizza, we went to the seating area and the server stretched the truth a bit on the availability and we had to sit in the cold, dark back corner, which was not a comfortable experience. The serverâs solution to this situation for us was to purchase their beer, which we already werenât enthusiastic about because we just wanted to comfortably eat our pizza. We all felt mislead into the situation, and since we had already ordered, we had to freeze outside until we got a spot closer to the heat. Next to our chairs in the seating area, we found some beers that the previous party forgot and started to drink them, because why not. It seemed like a silver lining to the situation. After a while, one of the staff members came over and let us know that we brought outside drinks into the bar and that that wasnât allowed. We explained that we found the beers within the bar and had no idea that they werenât from the bar, and in return, they kicked us out of the seating area, which stuck me as extremely rude considering that we patronized them with $77 worth of pizza otherwise and it made an already uncomfortable experience that much worse.
What I disliked the most is that the staff was dishonest about their capacity, and instead of being honest about that and turning us away, they instead wanted to take our money and give us an inferior experience in return. It really seemed like they thought we didnât deserve their seating even though we purchased $77 worth of pizza. Thereâs really no excuse to be that disrespectful to customers, and I will not be recommending Robertaâs to friends or going back myself out...
Read moreWhen I first started coming here was 2009 or 2010 when my friends/partners of menâs fashion brand had an office a minute away. It was such a humble, edgy, and uncompromising quality of food and service in every aspect. I continued to return until 2017 but because of change in life, it took 5 years since to go back there on Christmas Eve â23. I was so surprised by deteriorated quality of pizza and its criteria to sign-off to serve. I knew that their pizza is well done, but not up to the point it only tastes charcoal. Ordering a drink also became frustrating because staff is so dependent on computer(POC) system that they do not put a face to an order, mistakingly (I like to believe itâs a mistake) de-prioritizing your order or wrongly served at another table. Just a simple draft beer poured took more than 15 min and I still had to re-ask 3rd time to finally get it. Service recovery after that was remarkable. Now I got staffâs attention like every customer should. On a separate note, this place became a family friendly place, which is awesome. But, not to the point where little over-mischievous kids playing around toilet door nobs that not only harass the occupants but also actually breaking in and peep ladyâs sensitive spot and laugh at it. Astonished by the fact parents were right by these kids and did nothing. Thinking of the fact that restrooms are situated right in the most traffic area in this restaurant in the middle of the restaurant, all staffs should take more responsibility and keep the delicate facility sane. And, just stop intramural restrooms and separate. And, just fix the door nob!! Someone should not be able to wiggle and break in. All in all, this restaurant became such a disappointment. Having one in Williamsburg and another around Park ave does tell me that...
Read moreIf you're a fan of pizza, then you know that there are few things more satisfying than biting into a slice of freshly baked pizza with a crispy crust and perfectly melted cheese. And if you're lucky enough to come across a restaurant that specializes in wood oven pizza, then you're in for a real treat.
I recently had the pleasure of trying out a local pizzeria that specializes in wood oven pizza, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the smell of freshly baked pizza filled the air. The menu offered a wide variety of toppings, from classic pepperoni and sausage to more adventurous options like goat cheese and prosciutto.
But it was the pizza itself that really stole the show. The crust was thin and crispy, with just the right amount of chewiness. And the toppings were cooked to perfection, with the cheese melted just right and the meats and vegetables perfectly cooked.
One thing that really stood out about this restaurant's pizza was the smoky flavor that came from being cooked in a wood oven. It added a whole new dimension to the pizza that you just can't get with a conventional oven.
Overall, I would highly recommend this pizzeria to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic wood oven pizza experience. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was excellent, and the pizza was simply outstanding. If you're a pizza lover like me, then you definitely don't want to miss out on this gem of...
