I asked a worker if they had outlets because my phone was dead and I had an emergency to deal with. They responded “no” and I decided to check the bathroom, which did not have any locks on it (safety concern). I went into the bathroom the first time to charge my phone and use the restroom, but someone knocked so I figured I should leave out of respect. Then, I went in a second time when nobody was using it to charge my phone (I only wanted to charge it for 5 minutes). After 30 seconds of being in the restroom, the same worker repeatedly knocked on the door, even after I told him someone was in there. After about 3 rounds of knocking I opened the door, and the worker said “are you good,” to which I responded “yes I’m just charging my phone.” The worker then said “you can’t do that I have customers waiting to use the restroom” and I apologized and left. When I was leaving, the worker said “I told you that already,” which he did not express to me originally. All he had said were there were no outlets, he never told me about a policy where customers weren’t allowed to charge our phones. The customer waiting for the restroom did not even knock; the worker knocked for her, which was very strange. After I had left, the worker kept giving dirty looks to our group. I was polite and left when I was asked to, so I’m not sure where the hostility is...
Read moreI'm still going to give them a 3 so as to not tank the rating (and would consider changing based on how this is handled), but a recent transaction has me considering other options after being a customer for 15+ years at various locations. We ordered via Door dash (at the Astoria location) a salad slice for my girlfriend who is extremely allergic to dairy. She has had this slice many times at Rosa's with no problem but we have never ordered delivery. The salad slice (dairy free) was an option on DoorDash, but when it showed up, it was instead the "Chicken Caesar" slice with dairy smothered all over it. We called Rosa's and the guy who answered says "we don't make that anymore" to which we respond "well it was an option on DoorDash???" to which he responds "I don't know how to help you." Really? That's the response? No apology? No confessing they should have been on top of things and updated their DoorDash menu? Rather than offering a comp or offering an alternative to be delivered, they leave it at that? Making us pay for something we absolutely did not ask for and offering no viable solution to someone who now cannot eat the dinner we ordered? Amazing how the lack of foresight on the business's end ends up being the...
Read moreFood is fantastic. 2nd best imo in queens. They don’t play football on the TV on sundays which is weird. I was quite hungry just now. On my 30 min break from work. Couldn’t pay for food because guy couldn’t except a $100 bill. Walked out pretty pissed off. That’s 10 mins wasted off my lunch break. Now to find something else in 10 mins because it took 10 mins to walk there. Thanks a lot MR. BOSS of Rosas. Your employee implicated you as being the reason why he couldn’t take a fresh crispy $100. Sorry I’m not one of those people in Astoria with millions in their bank account. Mine is empty cause I paid all my bills. Like I said, food is great, but you just lost a customer. Good customer service goes a long way and that guy didn’t even attempt to help in any way. I bet if I was One of these European hipsters, I would have been accommodated. My Puerto Rican Ass (in a full business suit) doesn’t fit the...
