Roy's — Restaurant in New York

I found Mr. Roy’s bar across the street. The bar of Mr. Roy, present in the flesh, actually had a polished chrome rail. I noticed many pictures of him standing with New York sports royalty. Mr. Roy offered Heinekens for three dollars the bottle. Guinness in the bottle, same price, but a price that had to be paid in cash.

I enjoyed the carrot cake bite by bite and delighted in the raisins tossed into the cake and sipped the Heineken. I left four quarters for the tip. A man walked up to me, a big P on his hat identifying him as a fan of Philly baseball. “Want to play pool. That will buy you four games”. He demanded I have another Heine on him and play as his partner in doubles. “All you have to do is hit the ball”. I was delighted to play pool on a real table, with balls carved of ivory, rolling on a green...

Not great for young people, music is for an older crowd. I would not recommend for a 'night out'. Mostly local older...
