S'MAC East Village

This place has been on my to do list for quite some time and I finally got a chance to go. They have a few different size options which is awesome, I appreciate that they understand different size appetites. I ordered the smallest size cheeseburger Mac and cheese. It was really good, in an “what you expect” type of way. It’s cheeseburger Mac and cheese so I didn’t expect something I had never experienced before, but it was definitely really good and filling and tasted better then if I would have made it myself. On the other hand, my partner got the La Macha Mac and cheese which was amazinggggggg. It was different, creamy and the the ingredients were well balanced. This location had multiple condiments available at the table (ketchup, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, Salt and pepper) which was awesome to just be able to decide at your table what you want to add. Additionally they had a water cooler where you could refill your own water, along with to-go boxes available for you to fix yourself. I did enjoy the “do it yourself” approach they have going on here, especially since it’s a pretty small place. I really only had 2 issues with the place and it has absolutely nothing to do with the food. There is NO AC. It’s summertime, sizzling hot Mac and cheese and no ac. That was really disappointing for me. The second thing was that at some point the water cooler has run out and took a patron to bring it to the attention of the workers. Also, no AC, sizzling hot Mac and cheese, people are in and out, in my time there I feel this should have been checked on but it wasn’t. But other then that, I would totally go back again!
