A great addition to the neighborhood with incredible vegan options. We started with the classic starter, the trio of three dips. It comes with a creamy walnut dip, a tomato/pepper dip, and an onion walnut dip. All tasty and served in portions so generous that we didn’t have enough bread to finish them. The homemade bread is fresh and good. Next, we had the assorted pkhali, which is two other walnut-based spreads (spinach and beet flavored) plus some walnut-stuffed peppers and eggplants, accompanied by the house cornbread. The spreads were all fresh and tasty and remarkably different from one another considering they were all walnut-based. (Every time we asked our waiter a question about a menu item, he started by asking whether we liked walnuts - lol!) The cornbread was very oily but good. We loved the lobio entree, Georgian bean stew accompanied by homemade pickled vegetables and more cornbread. For dessert, we had the pelamushi, a chilled grape jelly roughly the consistency of cranberry sauce, served with (you guessed it) walnuts. It was fun and unlike anything we’d ever had before. Overall we were thrilled to have so many plant-based options and look forward to trying different things next time such as the mushroom dishes and the soups.

Saperavi is hands down the best Georgian restaurant in New York City. The food is absolutely authentic — from the khachapuri and khinkali to the delicious house-made cornbread and lobio with pickled vegetables. Everything tastes like it was made back home in Georgia. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff go above and beyond to make you feel like family. I’ve tried several Georgian restaurants in NYC, but Saperavi truly stands out for both the quality of the food and the wine selection. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy authentic Georgian cuisine in Manhattan, this is the spot. Highly recommend to anyone searching for the best restaurant in NYC for dinner or a unique food experience!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An absolute gem! Saperavi UES offers an incredible mix of authentic Georgian flavors and top-notch service. The khachapuri is heavenly, the grilled meats are perfectly cooked, and the portions are generous. Their wine list is a dream for anyone who loves Georgian wine — every glass feels like a journey. The ambiance is cozy yet vibrant, and it’s also very kid-friendly and wheelchair accessible, which makes it welcoming for everyone. Perfect for family gatherings, date nights, or simply enjoying good food with friends. Every visit here is a treat — truly one of my favorite spots in the city!

This restaurant completely blew away all my expectations and delivered the most authentic, flavorful Georgian dining experience I've ever had, even surpassing meals I've enjoyed in Georgia itself! The service was truly above and beyond. The staff was incredibly welcoming, authentic, and genuinely nice, making us feel right at home. A perfect example of their excellent care. when we were deciding on wine, they thoughtfully offered us a taste first with the history of each bottle so we could be sure of our choice. The food was simply phenomenal. Not only were the portion sizes very generous, but every single dish was executed flawlessly. We ordered a feast including the incredible Khachapuri (the signature cheese bread), the rich mushroom soup, a perfectly grilled kebab, and a selection of delicious appetizers. Every bite was a delightful surprise and far exceeded what we had anticipated. This is, without a doubt, the best Georgian food I've ever tasted, and I would definitely come back in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for high-quality, authentic flavors and spectacular service, this is the...
