I had no choice but to ipgivenone star. But it should be - 5 stars. I had been going to vivid nails for over two years. I noticed on 5 or 6 visits that I was only tended to by the Hispanic nail techs. I am Hispanic. One of the two Hispanic techs that did my nails started by using an emory board to remove my gel polish. She did not apply the polish that softens the gel. I had to tell her not to use the emory board and use the filing machine and to apply the softening polish. On more than one occasion. Both Hispanic techs were rough and my nails were sore for a day or two after my mani pedis. After a couple of sloppy manicures, I called to make an appt and asked the owner to please give me an Asian tech. I did not give her a reason why but asked for an Asian tech. She obliged but it was only her doing my nails going forward for the next 4 or 5 Mani pedis. Fast forward a few manicures (Feb march now) after removing gel, we both noticed darkening of my nails. When I asked the owner if that was fungus she said no. "It will go away", "not a fungus", "it will grow out in two manicures", "the tech" (one of Hispanic ones(pls note iam referring to her this way not the owner)) "does not work here anymore." "When she asked if she can come back I told her no". So we continue with another gel manicure. On the next manicure the spots were changing and had spread to other nails still assuring me that it was not a fungus. On the last manicure there in April, after removing the gel it was obvious that I had a bad fungal infection. She agreed, and removed gel for free and said to let them breathe. I told her I was going to go to urgent care to get them checked. She said "no need, come back Monday I'll have something for you to put on them." There was no way I was waiting till Monday. And she not a doctor. Hense I have had to apply anti fungal medication on my nails daily since April and had to see a dermatologist. My nails have detached from my nail bed and are green and very rigid. It will take at least 6months for my nails to be back to normal. My point here is - be advised that Vivid nails does not use clean instruments and does not train their employees. I also felt some type of way because of only assigning me Hispanic techs. I was always generous tipper, would go there on a weekly basis for a regular manicure before I started doing gel manicures and even gave a few dollars to all the techs during Xmas (including the ones that never touched my nails). The owner continued to do gel manicure again and again knowing that that was a fungal infection. This is her specialty. She did not care. She just wanted to make money off of me each and every single time

This place is horrible. If I could give no stars I would. I really thought I found a hidden gem near my job but their customer service sucks. I got a dip powder new set as well as gel nail polish on them (we used OPI) on a Friday and went home and took a shower. After my shower 6 of my nails had already peeled off like literally peeled off. I called them to let them know what had happened. They stayed they would redo my nails free of charge. After going back on Monday I wish I had not. One of the owners or managers on duty redid my nails this time with the orange color as seen below. She tried to tell me I was the only person who had experienced this but the same day I went in to do my nails there was another woman coming back as well because her gel polish also peeled off completely. I left that day already with the idea I would never return to that spot again, but 1 days after redoing my nails from the horrible job they already did my nails have chipped and already started peeling. I was extremely disappointed and felt at this moment I just need a full refund for the untrained staff they have there. I had called to let the manager Safa know that I was highly upset and only wanted a refund. When I went to the salon to receive my refund it was even worse. At first she tried to sit me down to redo my nails for the 3rd time. I explained that I already called and wanted a refund for this. She at first went to the register to give me my money back and then after speaking to her employee she decided to only give me half. Did I pay half when I came? I asked for a full refund and that is what I expected. She told me no she will only refund half because it’s been 10 days when in fact it had not. From Friday to Monday when they were originally done had been 3 days and from Monday to Wednesday when the second set was redone it was 3 so in total 6 days. After repeating she would not give me a refund I spoke with my bank company and had it done for me. This spot is horrible. Their service sucks. They tell you they will do one thing and don’t do it at all. Please skip out on this place if your in the neighborhood and pay an extra $10 somewhere else for a quality nail salon. I am also an Influenser on Instagram and will definitely be letting my 22k followers know about this location.

First of all as soon as I walk in the lady that was doing my nails rolled her eyes 10 different times I’m not sure why she had so big of an attitude but every time I ask her or I kindly told her what I would like she roll her eyes and act like she couldn’t hear me and I had to ask her multiple times and then she said what would an attitude I literally had to clean my own nails because she was upset that I asked her kindly to please remove the dirt under my nails. These are my nails as soon as I walked out of the salon I’m so disappointed I get this business all kinds of money, my nails hurt they’re so sensitive and I understand that she took off the acrylic, but my nails should not have smudged like this especially after drawing them for over 20 minutes. She plays quotes because she didn’t file my nails good enough so she had to put coats and they smudged so fast. This is disgusting. I should’ve just left my old acrylic nails on that I had for two months. It looked and felt better than this. This is awful. they do not care about the customer. They just want people to leave as soon as possible to take the next person and all they care about is money every time. I tell them that my nails do not look right they don’t care they get upset. I would really love for someone to redo my nails because this is horrible.

I've been coming here for almost a year and typically have had great experiences. Today, I show up and I think it was the first day for the person doing my pedicure. I was stuck between 2 colors so she painted a little on each nail at the color station to help me decide. I told her which one I wanted and went to go sit down in one of the chairs so I could wipe the paint off my nails. Halfway through the pedicure, I realize she picked the wrong color and put the one I wanted back. So I had to get up in the middle of the pedicure to go find it. During the pedicure, she didn't put the jets on or any of the salts in for my feet to soak - just still hot water. I asked her if she could turn them on and put the salts in like they normally do which she did but the tablet never dissolved. Then while she was painting my toes, her hair was down and literally getting in the polish on my toes as she was painting. At one point, one of her hairs was loosely sitting on my foot and she had to remove it. Not a pleasant experience at all. Then, when I went to get the SNS dip polish on my fingernails, Jane (who I love), started cleaning the old polish off while the person who was going to be doing my nails finished on their previous customer. When they switched places, the new person never finished cleaning my nails. I had old red polish residue in between my cuticles and she never did any cuticle care. She did a fine job with the powder, but when I asked her to clean up around my cuticles she said there was nothing to clean. I had to point out all of the pieces of dead skin for her to pick off. Then, she starts picking completely under my nail (which I never asked her to do, just asked for cuticle cleaning), and she pulls a huge chunk of skin that was not dead, causing it to bleed! And her response was "See?" - so rude! It was the absolute worst nail experience I've ever had. And I still tipped 15% because I feel bad not tipping at all but it was awful. I know they do a good job 95% of the time, but I'm questioning whether I'll ever go back given this horrendous experience that...
