I was hoping to have a great experience but that was not the case. I was looking for a place to take my mother for her birthday. Given decent reviews, I decided to bring her here. We were sat immediately and greeted by the server a few minutes later. We placed our drink order and appetizer. The appetizer took at least 15 -20 minutes. Mind you, it wasn’t packed. The server attentiveness wasn’t the same with us, compared to those around. There was a party of four next to us. It was a family and he made sure to go around the table multiple times and replenish their complimentary bread. We, on the other hand, did not receive any bread. Not until after our appetizer came. The appetizer was tasty, we ordered Burrata & Prosciutto Di Parma. I had to Catch his attention so I can place our main course. I was already annoyed with his service, but I tried my best to compose myself since it was my mother’s birthday. He must’ve heard me complain to my mother that we never received bread because a few minutes later, we received bread. Literally five minutes later our pasta came. My pasta was dry and unfortunately, I did not enjoy it. I ordered the Carbonara. It was the worst carbonara I ever Ordered. But I decided not to complain because I’m sure the server was expecting for me to do so since I can no longer hide how upset I was. Luckily, my mom’s pasta was tasty. I was happy that her pasta of choice, which was the Farfalle Al Limoncello was good. At least she enjoyed her meal. To make things worse, the server never passed by to check if everything was OK. I was furious because I wanted this night to be very special for my lovely mother. I had to flag him down to ask him for the check and that’s when he decided to ask how was dinner, after 20 minutes of ignoring us!! I work in the hospitality industry in management and operations and that was by far the worst service I had in a long time. I apologize to my mother countless times. He asked if we wanted dessert but I decided to not even bother, we just wanted to leave. I will never go to this location again. The name of the server was Carlos A. and despite his horrendous service, I still tipped him 18%. I really wanted to not tip him at all..but I’ll just...
Read moreI am writing this review only because I didn’t feel treated as a valued guest. Will not mention names as I don’t want anyone to get in trouble however I left very disappointed not from my own expectations but from the expectations set by the restaurant up to that point. The food we ordered was very good. I liked it so much I couldn’t wait to have it home again. So I didn’t force myself to eat but left some to take away. We didn’t like only one of our cocktails and the waitress was kind enough to remove it from our tab. I ordered the spinach and goat cheese salad. It came with four pieces of Cheese and some delicious dressing on the salad and some sort of cream on top of the cheese. I only had a quarter of it. When my pasta arrived I asked to have the salad ‘take away’. Later I asked to take half of my pasta dish away. Before leaving I realized they didn’t give me the salad. I asked if it was in the back. They said he hadn’t heard me and if I wanted another one. I said ‘would that be okay?, I don’t want anyone to get in trouble’. Until then everything was fine. Literally two seconds later I was hanged a super small container with some spinach in it. No dressing, no cheese sides. No cream. Everything I liked about that salad that I paid for was not in there. I felt like a cow having to eat grass. Absolutely not acceptable for the image that Serafina holds. It left me with a very bad taste and left treated carelessly. I had saved my visit to Serafina for a special occasion but that last part was very disappointing. I hope someone from the training team reads this to improve their standards of what makes a guest feel...
Read moreHad dinner for three there. Although the restaurant appeared empty our server keep rushing us for our order. Finally we ordered two apps to quiet the server down. The bruschetta was exactly as described but nothing like it was pictured in photos. It really was the tiniest piece of stale bread i have ever seen, the olive oil came in an dish and the touch of garlic must have been on the preparer's hands because it was not on what was served to us. The PROSCIUTTO & BURRATA was another great disappointment. For $27 the two paper thin slices of prosciutto were mostly fat. the burrata exploded when attempting to cut into. While dealing with the apps the server came over and instead of asking if we had decided on entrees demanded "so what are you having?" The PAPPARDELLE SHORT RIBS was probably the most disappointing. For $33 the dish was 90% pasta with a few fatty pieces of meat thrown in and an unidentifiable liquid mixed in with the pasta. The Serafina burger was the only meal that had identifiable meat in it and the most amount of meat for that matter. I ordered the Ice Cream for dessert. I felt guilty ordering the three scoop option thinking it would be too much. Wrong! When the busser delivered a tiny spool, the kind you would use for espresso, I started to rethink my decision. When delivered, the other people at the table actually started laughing at how small the portion size was. Had to ask several time for our check. All in all our party was very disappoint with the experience. Some of the food was good but definitely not...
