First impression of this place isn’t good. Came for lunch at 1pm on a Saturday and the place was a ghost town I was the only one there. Waiter seemed very detached and not interested in serving much. Drink menu was very limited.(inquired about a cocktail list and was told they didn’t have any.) Food menu was pretty standard nothing out of ordinary for an Indian restaurant. Ordered two appetizers the tandoori wings and seekh kabobs took quite some time for them to come. Upon receiving them it seemed these portions were enormous. Lol. Overall pretty tasty appetizers felt like they made them fresh hence the wait. (If your visiting this spot make sure you keep that in mind if your by yourself.) Ordered entrees chicken korma and Chana masala. Both of which I would say were very Americanized and had a pre made masala that didn’t live up to my standards. You can easily taste they probably re use the same curry base for most of their dishes. Would I come back here again? No. It’s unfortunate because their aren’t really any decent Indian restaurants in queens.

I ordered Lamb Saag which is lamb cubes cooked in spinach and Alo Gabi Matar which is cauliflower, pea and potato dish, Lamb Samosa, wooow these samosa’s were a bomb. Filled with meat. Lamb saag was absolutely delish. Basmati rice and naan bread…. I was so happy with my meal and serving was so generous that i had some left over for next day as side dish. This was my first time ordering from Yaar indian restaurant and won’t be last. They took my order over the phone very efficiently and delivered my food within 30 minutes to my door. Woow ! Very impressed. Overall food was delish and home cook fell to it. Tasty and every dish tasted distinct which i like. Because sometimes you order food that “everything” taste the same. This was not the case with Yaar. I was very happy and i highly recommend ordering from them or visit them. Bon appetite!

Came in around 12:30 on a Sunday. Got seated right away and wasn't really packed. They have a variety of buffet dishes both veg and non veg. Everything was cooked and was hot .When they brought out the naan, it was cooked fresh to order. Service was excellent. A lot of the dishes were less seasoned and spicy as is in a normal Indian cuisine, but they do that to cater to the population in that area that can't handle spices. No disrespect but y'all can't handle spices. Samosas were fire and they had the chutneys to go with them too. Overall with tax and tip it was around $20 per person. Metered parking outside is decent and there's plenty around the area as well. After covid, this spot is good for what they have. Definitely don't miss out on the kheer desert at the end.

We ordered in from Yaar through Seamless when my boyfriends parents were in town.

The delivery was prompt, although when our apartment was listed as on the 5th floor, they did not allow delivery to our location. My boyfriend removed the apartment number and called the restaurant to say he would meet the delivery person downstairs once he rang up to us to say he was there. It isn't worth knocking down a star, every time a delivery buzzes in I run down to meet the person at least halfway, knowing what a pain a 5th floor walk up can be. Just glad they were still willing to deliver.

We had to be sure there was at least one vegan option for my boyfriends mom. We called the restaurant and they patiently described all 3 options she had to choose from - that was a really nice added benefit - many dishes on menus aren't fully described to the point someone who is vegan can tell if they're REALLY vegan - this was super helpful in our hunt for a dinner spot to order from.

The food was INSANE. I got chicken vindaloo, because I'm a fiend for heat. It was SO good. The chicken was tender and pulled apart so easy - such fresh ingredients. It was hot in temperature and spice - the rice was very necessary to cut the taste.

Every dish we chose was a homerun. The Lamb Korma was the best thing we ordered - it was so buttery and delicious. This will be my order when my need for spice is not on overload. The Lamb Rogan Josh was perfectly spiced - cardamom and cinnamon...I didn't dot the ordering but I identified the flavors immediately when I tried the dish...and I'm not usually any good at doing that. It was obvious to me that their recipe is not overloaded with flavors. It was just right. The vegan dish we chose was the Chana Saag - the chickpeas and spinach made a great combo. It had a subtle spice that built as you continued eating which did it for me with this dish - really delicious, and vegan! I don't usually go for the thick, rich, honey covered desserts, but I had a bite of the Gulab Jamun and it was a great cap off to a wonderful, satisfying and SPICY meal!

We will definitely enter this restaurant into our normal rotation. The ratings on seamless are not wrong 5 stars, all day. Zero complaints. Definitely give this...

Was excited to try this place, as I have grown tired of the standard burger/sandwich/salad routine. Here's a quick rundown... seems more of a take out/delivery spot than a sit down restaurant. Here's why I say that. The bartender is also the host is also the waiter is also the busboy. Secondly, the restaurant is completely sterile, devoid of any decoration or festive atmosphere. No music, blank walls.

The waiter was curt, not cordial, understandable given his workload. The order was taken correctly and delivered to the table in record time. I know a lot of this stuff is cooked in batches and ready to go, but it was still impressive.

The food was... ok. As a person of Caucasian ancestry I would say this food is prepared to please my people's palate. (alliteration FTW!) It could use a bit more oomph IMHO. There's nothing wrong with it, the dishes I had were bland. I did not try the Vindaloo, but even flavors like cumin and cardamom were very muted.

So, TLDR, a nice cullinary change of pace, but not very exciting, more of a takeout/delivery joint, would not bring a first date there (unless they have a liminal...

I’m sorry to say this but I was very disappointed with this place. I guess I was expecting too much from this place. I came here couple of weeks ago with a friend. We ordered some appetizers and the main course. We wanted our food to be spicy so we requested our waiter to make them spicy. So, we got our food but after having a bite we were so done. I mean the curries that we ordered were extremely spicy. After having few bites, we decided not to have it anymore. I mean this is ridiculous. I love spicy food and I also prefer having everything spicy but this was totally a different experience for us. I am not exaggerating but yeah we just couldn’t handle it. I know everyone has a different taste and for some the food could be spicy whereas, it might not be for another person. Honestly, we both like spicy food and we have had spicy food in many restaurants. Moreover, we didn’t really enjoy the appetizers that we ordered.

Overall, I appreciate the service provided by our waiter. It was our first time in this restaurant and we didn’t enjoy the food. Also, we had a...
